Distance from monorail to Trader Sam's at Poly?

Does anyone know about how long the walk would be, and also how late kids are allowed in to the restaurant? Thanks so much.

Basically, we are looking for a way to kill some time without going back to the hotel. We have an ADR at California Grill at 5:45 on Memorial Day. Is it feasible to take the monorail to the Poly for a drink around 4pm and then take the monorail to CG for our ADR at 5:45. Too much moving around? Thought it might be a good idea to get out of the heat/crowds for a bit at MK during the day and head back after dinner. We will be there from rope drop and want to see the fireworks as well.

Kids are allowed in until 8.

It is maybe 5 minute if that from the monorail at the Poly. You'd have a good hour at the Poly so more than enough time for a stop at Trader Sam's.

Trader Sams is in the main lobby area of the Poly, so you'd step off the monorail and go right into the lobby area. At the most, you would take an stairs to the bottom floor. I'm sure someone knows exactly where in the main house Trader Sams is located. But, my point is, it's an easy on/off the monorail. Poly lobby is super cool place to take a break. Enjoy!

You would take the stairs down from the monorail in the lobby and go back toward Capt Cooks. Less than 5 mins. Definitely doable but not sure if there will be a line to get in at that time. If so, you can go outside to their patio.

Sounds like a good plan. I think visiting the different resorts is a great way to spend some extra time!
