Distance from mermaid room to animation hall

would like to find out the distance from mermaid rooms to animation hall. Everywhere I look people say anything from a brisk 5 minute walk to 8-10 minute walk, or a leisurely 15 minute walk. Since everyone walks at different paces does anyone know either the distance or steps from let's say roundabout the center of the mermaid rooms to animation hall. I want to walk a test run with my daughter to make sure she's up for it. Thank you for any responses

At the art of animation resort the little mermaid rooms are the farthest from the main building which is called animation hall. Many people comment on how it's a very long walk to get from those little mermaid rooms to the buses that take you to the parks and some people even say they don't stay in those rooms just based on the amount of walking. A lot of threads say how long the walk is based on the amount of time it took them to walk that distance. I want to know how long the walk is by either distance or if someone had used an app that counts your steps, so I have an idea how long the walk will be and if it will be too long for my daughter

You might try posting this on the RESORTS board and not the general discussion COMMUNITY board. Haven't been to WDW in 14 years, so can't help.

We stayed at Art of Animation at the end of June. We walked back to the pool by the Little Mermaid building one day. It was a good solid five minute walk. We weren't sprinting or anything but it wasn't a leisurely stroll.
I have to say, after staying there, I would not choose to stay in that building. We were thrilled to be at the end of the Lion King building slowest to the main building. We loved the resort but several times we remarked how glad we were to be so close.

My thought for the Little Mermaid building is to request a room on the end closest to the main area. It's not like it's miles away but it might feel like it after walking all around WDW.

we clocked it last year and it's about a ten min walk. When we stay at art of animation we always stay in the nemo suites

It's a lot longer and anyone likes at the end of a long day in the parks. The resort is stunning. The mermaid rooms are beautiful. But the walk killed it for me. It changed how we enjoy the resort. It was too far to just pop in and get a snack at the food court. We will go back to Pop Century next time.
