Distance from Cocoa Beach to Port

can anyone tell me what the distance is between Cocoa Beach and the Port? I'm thinking about staying there the night before the cruise, is it close enough?

Cocoa Beach is about 2 - 3 miles south of the port. Definitely too far to walk. If you have a rental car, Hertz, Avis and Budget all have shuttles to the port. If you're driving to the port, there are parking lots that cost $10 per day, payable when you park.
