We have stayed at ASMO several times and this time was so disappointing. Our bathroom was full of black mold. It wasn't that it was hidden in a corner or that someone just missed it, it was completely out in the open in the shower. I could not believe it. My sister had the connecting room next to ours and hers was worse. Her shower curtain and the line you pull in the shower to hang your clothes was also moldy. After 2 days my mother called the manager and they sent up housekeeping. When we came back it still was not acceptable. The next day the manager came up and cleaned it himself as well as changed my sisters shower curtain and the line.
We had also requested cups and the mousekeeper never left them for us. I had to call daily to request them.
The pools were really unacceptable also. The water was not clear. I understand that it is a public pool, but when you go under water with your goggles and see that the water has particles floating around, it is gross. There were band aides. The worst part was that a little girl vomited right near the lifeguard chair and he didn't notice it. The girl was gagging so I don't know how he wouldn't have heard it. We were actually outside of the pool at the time and my sister went up to the lifeguard to tell him. He called on his radio and then told people that the pool was closed for maintenance. Thank goodness everyone that was in the direct area of the vomit had already gotten out of the pool.
I don't know, but for some reason after being at WDW 30+ times, this time, I was really grossed out, not just by the hotel, but by people. We were at the Magic Kingdom sitting and waiting for the Main Street Electrical Parade near Tony's. A woman in a scooter was with her 4 year old (or close to that age). She told the girl the pee in the puddle of water. It had rained prior to this. She pulled down her pants and peed. I have never seen such a thing. Don't people have standards anymore? There were no CM's in near proximity. We immediately got up and left the park and on the way we told a CM.

It should have been cleaned asap or new rooms given to you. If the manager had to clean it themselves, maybe they are having issues with their housekeeping staff.
