I don't appreciate Disney telling me I'm getting a $29 dollar value set of pictures (that I would never purchase to begin with) and that is why breakfast is $32 per person. And if you go with another couple, you don't even get seperate pictures, you have to share, even though a party of 2 would get the same size package of pics. I would rather they had raised the price of the meal by maybe $5 and let those who want pictures purchase pictures. Approx. $64 plus tax and tip per couple for the breakfast they serve is just wrong! Don't get me wrong, I love eating in the castle and even like the food, but charging that much above any other character breakfast is not very appealing at all. We will not be back while being held hostage by their need to sell photos and squeeze even more cash out of what used to be an expensive, but enjoyable experience. Okay, I'm done ranting now. :guilty:

I agree, I will not eat there again because of the price increase and not to give everyone in the party the picture package is so wrong. You are paying per person, then per person should receive the package.

I agree it just doesn't seem right!! I hope they change that whole thing! some people just don't want pictures. Lower the price and you keep your pictures. :)

I think it is really foul that they dont give at least each family their own photo. You can share a table, but not a photo!

Is that really how it works.

I wouldnt support that either. At least give you what you paid for.

I remember with DVC, they had a special event that everyone paid the same for. Then at the end, they gave 1 Gift Basket per room instead of per person. Well people were really upset, as they were sharing rooms with other families, etc and pitched a fit. The next paid member event, they went overboard to ensure that every paid person received the same gifts, even the kids received gift baskets!

So I would write in and complain. I really dont think its fair for them to charge what they do and not give the photos. People will just start splitting up parties so they get what they paid for.

This is why the Akerhaus breakfast has become as popular in my mind as CRT. I will not pay that much for CRT, DD meets Cinderella at 1900 Park Fare and she is just fine with it. She asked if we could go, I told her how much for our family of 3 to attend and my 5 year old said that is way too much money!

So as a surprise she and I are going to Akerhaus breakfast for her princess fix. I'll still be paying over $35 for breakfast (Dh wasnt too excited to go), but I will not pay $54 for the same thing!

I think it was really smart of disney. Those CRT breakfast reservations were so hard to get. The smartest thing for them to do was to offer more opportunities (the norway breakfast, the CRT lunch and dinner) and to up the price. That way the demand is reduced. Sure, the scrambled eggs and bacon aren't worth that much money, but the demand was there to justify it. The should make picture packages for each family. But that could get kind of weird. What if a mother went with one child, two grandmothers and an aunt? Would there be four sets of pictures for five people? It might be easire to just limit it to one per table. Maybe it could be one set for every four people or something. But I think the point of the pictures was to raise the price.

I agree with d-r, I think Disney was very smart in the way they handled CRT. It was outragously popular, so much so that people were getting really upset because they couldn't get a ressie. Disney couldn't make another CRT so instead they increased the princess meals (at CRT and eslewhere) and raised the price to meet the demand. People are still not happy, but now its not because its not available, instead its because of the price. People can still get mad at Disney for raising the prices but at least they have a choice about going to CRT or not, before they didn't even have a choice, they simply couldn't get a ressie.

On the picture issue, parties of 1-4 people recieve one photo package but parties of 5-8 people receive two photo packages. So bigger parties do recieve more photos. If the two families are more than two people each then each family should get their own pics.
