I noticed that the DIS lists a code for Budget that reflects a substantially discounted rate. It lists a minivan at $299 for a week. When I called Budget and gave them the code that DIS lists on their web page, Budget said the rate was not $299, but $499. Does anyone know who's right?? Thanks!!

ANYONE???!!!
I guess what I really need to know is if $499 is a good rate for a weekly minivan rental. I would really like to use Budget because I am picking up at the airport and returning to Port Canaveral. I have read good reviews of Budget in this situation. I thought $499 was a good rate until I read the DIS's discount code. Now that I read that, I am second guessing myself. Please help, I need feedback!!

I can't answer your question specifically, but it might help if we verify that this is a discount listed here somewhere, on the DIS Boards. I looked on the Discounts page and didn't find a rental car discount listed.

Go to dollar.com I got a mini van for $226.7 a week using no code...... With the code it was more $ They are also in the airport. We have used them for years now.........::yes:: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Dodie,
If you go to the top of DIS's main page and click the transportation button (not the transportation forum) and then scroll down, the Budget deal is posted there.

I was on Alamo.com and they advertised a mini-van for something like $205 a week.

Also Disney Visa Cardholders have a rate of $229 for a wk. with a promo code and also a Rate Code. That price was good until June 30. I think that was on the Disney Visa Card website.

Try rentalcodes.com. I found a lot of discounts listed there for a lot of the companies, Budget included. Alamo, Avis, Dollar and National are also at MCO airport in the terminal for pickup. I'm not sure what's at the PC end. Hope this helps.

If you check the blackout dates, you'll see that the dates are for last year, the discount has probably expired.- Mark

You're right Mark. I finally spoke with someone helpful at Budget today and she said that that code expires in April. If I call back after that there is a good chance that it will be extended another year. She said that 's been the history of the deal. So thank you all for your help!!
