I have a really nice digital camera but I don't want to take it to the parks and on rides, etc and take a chance on ruining it. I wanted to bring some disposable cameras but don't know which ones are best. Anyone have any suggestions as to which ones to get or take the best pictures? Waterproof?
:confused3

I found the "cheap" ones at Walmart take nice pictures. I was surprised at how good they turned out. Kodak and Fuji cameras take good pics, too. Just get one that's easy to use. They have waterproof, underwater cameras, too. Those are much more expensive.

The waterproof ones are great if you're going to BB or TL. We used one at the resort pool and got some pretty good pictures with it.

I bought the kids some cheap Fuji disposable cameras to use and the pictures turned out OK. You can't really tell the difference between the disposable camera pictures and the pictures I took with my 35 mm camera.

If you check the Sunday coupons, you might find some coupons for disposable cameras. Walgreens has them on sale sometimes, too.

I'd say bring your camera :) I got a wonderful but expensive Kodak (10x optical zoom) for Christmas before our trip and it was the whole reason I wanted it - so I could get AMAZING pics at WDW. Disposables don't have zoom, they won't work very well AT ALL at night (the castle is gorgeous at night and with a nice digital, you can get some beautiful pics)... Just my opinion...YMMV :)

Definately collect some coupons and wait for a sale. :thumbsup2 some brand is on sale every week. I have been doing that and haven't spent more than $2.50-$3 for each camera. I bought Kodak, Fuji and the Osco brands. I've never noticed a difference in the quality of pictures.

Remember tho, NTSB recommends that you "Put all undeveloped film and cameras with film in your carry-on baggage. Checked baggage screening equipment will damage undeveloped film".

I got 2 Kodak disposables with Zoom, but I agree, night pics are awful! The flash doesn't reach far enough. :guilty:

If you are bringing a disposable camera to Disney and traveling via airplane...
**pack the camera in your carry on and get it out before going through security.. when you approach xray ask the TSA to please "hand check"..

Most disposable cameras use 800 speed film and xray will make your pics all cloudy!! You also must do this on the return...

*Or if you have a car, go to Walmart/Walgreeens,etc. and buy one, take the pics and have it developed before you come home :)
