Display I made for DS's pins--How'd I do??

Gently people, gently. I am the ANTI Martha, when it comes to arts and crafts type stuff. But, DS received this really neat Mickey Head shaped gift basket in January, when we were at WDW, and I wanted to use it for something. We had the brainstorm to make something to put his pins on, since between last January, and this January, the poor pins lived on their lanyards, in a Ziploc, in a suitcase, in the attic. (I know, I know, sacrelidge )

So without further ado--here they are. It could have been a lot neater, but all in all, I don't think it's too bad for a rookie!

As to where your pins were living before..... .....we've all been there......except maybe <i>the attic</i>.

I like it! What a neat idea! You mentioned it was a Mickey shaped basket. Did you stuff it & then cover it? I am not a crafty person, so I need details .

Judith--I had no real idea where I was going with this when I started it. What I did was this:

Covered the inside edge with blue craft foam. Filled the basket with florist's foam. I got stuck there. Then I cut out a piece of cardboard and used spray adhesive to attach a piece of craft foam to the cardboard. I used floral wire to tie the cardboard to the basket.

Then we just pushed the pins into the foam/cardboard and hung it on the wall.
