Hi. We were originally planning to visit DisneyWorld next year some time and were saving up for that vacation. Recently we found out we'll be in SoCal in a couple weeks however, so I thought we'd make the best of it and try to squeeze in a day at Disneyland.
I was pretty shocked though to find out it was nearly $700 for a family of 5 to do the 1-day park hop. I was at DL years ago and I didn't remember it being nearly so expensive.
Anyway, I read somewhere about using Disneyworld tickets at Disneyland, and I started looking at the non-expiring parkhopper tickets from Disneyworld. It looks to me like I can get 5 10-day non-expiring Disneyworld Parkhopper tickets for a hair over $3,000, and have it nearly 1/4 paid for by using just one of those days at Disneyland and not paying the 1-day admission.
Then I'd have tickets for at least 2 other Disneyworld vacations in the future. I can't see myself ever spending more than 4 days at a time touring the parks. If I go to Florida, I'll want to spend some time on the coast with the kids, and time off is hard enough to come by.
But I figured I'd better ask around before rolling the dice on this $3,000 strategy. Would it work to have the first use of your Disneyworld tickets be at Disneyland? I just feel like there's a good chance I might be missing something. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rick
