Disneyworld the week right before Christmas

Hi, newbie here. Would you recommend visiting Disneyworld the week right before Christmas, say December 17 to December 23? How are the crowds? People say the first two weeks of December the lines are short, and the week right after Christmas (Christmas to New Year), the crowds are at their largest. But what about the third week of December, the week right before Christmas? That is the time we hope to go as my kids are already out of school, but we hope to avoid the after-Christmas crowds. Hi, I have been going the week before Xmas since 1996 and I highly recommend. The crowds aren't too bad; I haven't been to the first two weeks in December (I will be there the second week this year) to make a comparison. It gets busier as Xmas approaches but nothing like Xmas week (I went Xmas week last year). You do need to be prepared for varying weather conditions where there may be a frost warning at night (meaning high temps are probably in the low- to mid-forties) or where the high temps can be in the eighties (can be just a few days apart). I am gong from Dec 10 to Dec 23, staying onsite from the 17th to the 23rd (I'd stay longer but I have to be back to work on the 24th).

The crowds are definitely manageable during this week and this one of my family's favorite time to go. As it gets closer to Christmas, the crowds will increase, but still doable.

We will also be there 18-24 Dec, looking forward to hopefully lower crowds in the begining of the week. Just bought our MVMCP tickets this morning for the 18th.

Thanks, everyone. Sounds encouraging. What's the wait time like in lines during the third week of December compared to the fourth week? Also, I heard that during that busy fourth week, people are turned away from the parks when they reach capacity. Does that happen in the third week of December as well?
