Hi,

I noticed today that when looking at the prices for disney resorts is that if you book via the two websites the terms and conditios are different if you need to cancel/change a booking.

disneyworld.com says

'In order to receive a full refund of your deposit, notification of cancellation must be received at least 6 days prior to your arrival date. To cancel or modify an existing reservation, call (407) 939-7429'

whereas on disneyworld.co.uk it says if you want to change / cancel the stay then

'provided we receive written confirmation of the change from the person who has made the Booking, or your travel agent, at least 14 days before departure. This should be received in writing to the registered office address or by email to wdtc-uk@disney.com. In these circumstances, an administrative fee of £25 for each amendment will be charged.'

I have booked in the past on disneyworld.com but looked on the .co.uk site today and you get a free gift booking thru them.

i may need to alter the booking depending on whether i can apply my cast member discount once i start work at wdw

help :confused3 why are the prodecdures different between the 2 sites?!

:surfweb:

We`ve only ever booked with an American TA, but it sounds like the safest method for you is to book with Disneyworld.com. - especially if you think your plans may change.
Could you phone and check?
Good luck with working for the Mouse - can you tell us more?

I would suggest getting a WDW room quotation from DreamsUnlimited.

They are associated with the DISboards and offer a great service. Including you own personal agent who will look for and apply any room discounts that become available after you have booked, they will also make dining reservations for you and help you with your planning if required :)

I would guess different processes because they are completely different markets, maybe?

The average US trip is far shorter than the average UK one, for example.

Very good luck on your job at WDW!! How exciting!

I didnt think you could book with disneyworld.com as it asks you where you are from when you go through the procedure. I booked on line for my disney hotels and it went straight to disneyworld.co.uk I didnt have a problem at all :thumbsup2

We book on line at Disneyworld.com and have never had any problems coming from the UK.

I found it cheaper to book via .com than co.uk a few years ago.Which I also didnt think was quite right?

Regards,
Lynn

I book through disney.com without any problems as well, it tends to be just a little cheaper, but also increased risk on the exchange rate, and you cannot access the AP site from .co.uk
