Hi all I'm a brand new poster here but have been reading here for a month or 2. I read some things about telling your hotel about your birthday and picking up a pin from each of the 4 parks.
Well we are staying at Pop Century and told them my nephew's birthday was April 2 (just turned 5) and they said he's birthday was too long past to do anything for him.
So my question is at the parks will he be able to get a birthday pin and can he wear it the whole time we are there or just the one day if he is allowed to get one?

Thanks I kind of raised his hopes and don't want to dissapoint the big guy.

BTW 12 days till we go

You can get the pins and he can wear them, no problem.

Go to Guest Services at each of the parks and request the birthday button. No proof required. CMs will be telling him happy birthday all day long.

Hi! Welcome to the boards!!!

Do yourself a favor, and check out the link in my signature about how to celebrate your birthday at Disney.

Hope you have fun! :)

I was just there for my birthday a few weeks ago, just go to Guest Relations and ask for the birthday pin...they don't ask you any questions or proof of your birthday or anything.

I do want to tell you one thing though.....

When we went for my birthday, it was actually that day, but my niece's birthday was the week before
(she just turned six) so I got her a birthday button too. Alot of people wished us Happy Birthday and they decorated our table and brought us birthday cupcakes at the Plaza restaurant where we had lunch, ect...BUT....the characters really went out of their way for my niece (which was very nice) but they would walk up to her and say "Oh, today is your birthday!" or whatever and I think it freaked her out a little, like she didn't know what to say since it really wasn't her birthday! When we saw Belle, she hugged my niece and sang a short version of Happy Birthday...after that my niece asked if she could take the button OFF. She wouldn't say why, but I really think she thought she was "lying" to Belle.

You never know how kid's think, but I just thought I'd mention it, even though I didn't/don't see anything wrong with it, I think my niece wound up feeling uncomfortable and I felt a little bad.

Thanks for all the advice and tips.

We'll see how long my nephew wants to do this, but he is a big ham so I'm thinking a long time :earsboy:

He has never been to Disneyworld, but from the little we told him he already wants to stay forever :teeth:

Thanks all

11 Days till Disneyworld :bounce:
