Disneysteve's Day 7: 8/20/09 - Offsite shopping and stuff

No park today. We started the day by visiting a couple of cheap, cheesy, off-site gift shops. There were a couple of things we were looking for that we thought we might find at one of those places. No luck. Not only that, but I had joked beforehand that all of those shops are all the same and are secretly connected underground. Sure enough, we went to 2 stores with different names and seemingly unrelated and found them to have identical merchandise and prices and even had identical signage on their displays.

Next stop was a drive through Celebration. We hadn’t been over there for a few years and wanted to see how things were. The town looked nice. We decided to have lunch at Angelina’s. Food was fine, nothing special.

We had a little shopping to do so we then headed to the new Super Target on 192 West. The store is very nice and had everything we needed at prices better than Publix across the street. Among the things we picked up were fixings to make dinner at our house. We bought some tortellini, pasta sauce, frozen veggies and fresh bread. Dinner was easy to prepare and it was very nice to sit down to a quiet meal not in a restaurant.

After dinner, DD and I went for a swim. We showered and watched some TV before hitting the sack so we could get up early for a park day tomorrow.

We tried to find Celebration, and we ended up at the Sports Complex. My dh was to stubborn to get a GPS. I knew the directions, but we gave up and left to the airport and sat 2 hours waiting for our plane. I'm still mad that we would have had an hour to explore the town.
