Are the clothing sizes at Disneyshopping.com true to size? I want to get DD (19 months) the xxs Mickey postcards tank dress. Just wondering if it would be huge on her?
I find the heights and weights to be pretty accurate (except for pj pals which run super small). However, the xxs looks like it could be close to a 2T or a 3T. There is a 6" height span 33-36 for one size and 36-39 for the other), which is HUGE. Also a 6 pound weight span between the two sizes.
Size XXS is a size 2/3. I haven't bought too much of the clothing other than PJ Pals (pajamas) and t-shirts. The pajamas do run a size too small, so definitely order up a size or two. For instance, my DS3 wears a 3T right now, but the XXS (2/3) size is too small, he'd be more comfortable in a XS (4/5).
The t-shirts are another story! Last summer I ordered lots of matching Disney t-shirts in preparation for a trip to DL. I ordered XXS for DS3, and S (6/7) for DS6, who was wearing a size 6 at the time. The shirts are way too big for the boys, the XXS would easily have fit DS6!
The t-shirts I got in the local Disney store are more typical sizing, but I know these are owned by a different company now. I don't know if the online store's clothing is now more in line with standard sizing or not.
On the plus side, my boys can probably wear these t-shirts for about 4 years...
I find their pj's run small.
I buy my 3 yr old a size 6 since they also shrink up quite a bit.
He usually wears a 4 or 5 in other brands.
I find that the adult clothing also runs on the small side.
