Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

Very silly question but can you get bar beverages “to go?” For instance if one wanted a speciality cocktail from Martha’s Vineyard or Crew’s Cup but wanted to enjoy it in their room is that possible? We were able to do it at outter rim a few years back but didn’t know if that was standard.

Haven't done it at Crew's Cup specifically, but have never been turned down yet in 30 years. Come to think of it, Crew's Cup may be the only one I haven't been to.

We've done it at both of those locations. Just tell them to go and they put it in a plastic cup

I’m in the exact same boat! Resort view club level booked starting 7/20… I really don’t want to upgrade but I also REALLY don’t want scaffolding directly outside the door. Decisions, decisions…
Well, I went ahead and upgraded to water view. I really didn't want to pay to upgrade either but last time we were in a water view of the lake/Boardwalk and it was so much better than our resort view staring at a dead tree the previous time lol. So that coupled with the scaffolding situation and any noise from work being done I decided to go ahead and do it with no regrets. I hope you have a great vacation!

Maybe this has been asked or addressed before, but I can't find any info.

Does anyone know if the current Stormalong Bay refurbishment includes the addition of a Splash Pad? Going in January of 2026 with 2-year-old and 4-year-old grands and feeling a little hesitant about the pool situation. I'm thinking a splash pad situation would provide a slightly more relaxed situation for the adults involved.

We won't be changing our resort either way, but I'd like to get my brain ready for different possibilities. (Because our trip is in January, I'm also keeping in mind that the pool area might not be of that much importance anyway!) Thanks in advance.

No new additions have been added, so nothing new in terms of a splash pad. At that age mine stuck mainly to that sand wading pool section on the YC side. And played there for hours and hours. We’d occasionally do the smaller slide underneath the flying jib slide (the big one) too.

Good luck! I never totally loved SAB at that age, personally. I agree the splash pads at some of the other places - WL, Poly, GF, etc - provided a more leisurely and a bit less stressful parent experience. :-)

Hope you enjoy your trip.

Thanks for the reply. I need to keep reminding myself that we are going in January, so I think that makes the entire pool experience/importance different than at a warmer (hotter!) time of year.

My husband and I both love the YC so darn much, and we're hoping that whatever disadvantages it might have will be outweighed by what we consider its many selling points.

We are here now. With SAB being closed, do any of the pools have life guards? We are at the pool by the villas and there isn’t a life guard. I sort of thought maybe with the feature pool being closed, and more people in the other pools, there might be lifeguards. Just curious in case we should try a different pool. I watch my kids well, I promise. But it is super calming when you see those amazing lifeguards doing their lifeguard “pacing”. Thanks!
