I think you can get the kids meal with no sides...then it might be cheaper. I thought my task was to find out about a full kids meal with sides, just no sand pail. I was told a full kids meal is the same price with or without the sand pail.

Yes, that was your mission! Thank you for confirming that the price of the kids meals at HH are the same even without the sandpail.

I hadn't even thought to ask if you could get the choices without the sides.

We have reservations for Undiscovered Future World Tour that starts at 9:00 (the park opens at 9:00) at guest relations by Space Ship Earth. Will we be allowed to go through the International Gateway early? If so, is there a special line for tours? Or do we have to cut the line to get to the front to get early access (Not something I'm looking forward to doing)

Will I be allowed to rent an ECV before the park opens?

What time is the new Hollywood Fireworks show running? is it every night?

We did not see the fireworks Thursday night 6/16 and we were at SAB until close. We did see them both Wednesday and Friday night.

I was wondering the same thing. Anyone done the one at YC or GF? We want to do a couples massage and I was looking for opinions so we can pick one of the three spas.

We have done a couples massage at GF and it was really relaxing. We liked the facilities there a little better at the time but it was a few years ago and the spa at YC has been remodeled. At one point I thought I had read that it can be a little noisy at YC spa since it is next to gym the busy SAB pool complex. The spa at GF is in it's own dedicated building so that might lend itself to a more tranquil setting.

The only thing I have heard about the beaches is that they are temporarily closed.

As far as water transportation, I read that ferry is running but the marinas around WDW are closed. As far as I know, the Friendship boats to HS and EPCOT are running but that is just an assumption on my part. Can anyone confirm this?

They were not renting the sea racers but they were still doing the evening EPCOT fireworks cruises as of Friday night as we did one (wow) and of course the ferries were running.

I don't think the Friendship boat service has been affected, but waiting for confirmation from somebody who is there now.

Do many guests at YC/BC decorate their room windows for Halloween whilst there? I'm thinking along the lines of plush figures and window decorations, just curious really.
We have seen rooms in the value and moderate resorts decorated for Christmas this way and it looked wonderful.
I love the colours of Autumn anyway and got some really good comments at home last year from decorating our sitting room window with Disney characters dressed for Halloween.

I see a few fun things for Halloween at the villas and definitely lights etc for Christmas.

Is the IG entrance normally pretty busy? Trying to figure out how early we should plan to arrive to get through bag check, etc.

Also, do we think this will give people an advantage getting to FEA at RD? Are you "released" at the same time those at the front of the park are??

So we just did this again this trip and found that the process is not an advantage for EMH. Once again...no separate line for no bags and they didn't start the bag check until 8 am. Talked to a cast member while we were waiting and this is SOP for EMH. It is also a longer walk to front so by the time we got to Soarin it was already 8:15 and we had a posted 30 min wait which ended up being 1:15, which we did since it was last day of the "old" Soarin movie.

BTW, we were able to do Soarin around the world on Friday, opening day and we unanimously liked it better! Pretty amazing!

Forgot to mention...we noticed Friday night they were doing the campfire on the beach...there is a built in firepit and it is relatively close to the walkway. All was roped off except for right around the firepit. No wandering on beach.

Thanks ladies for your quick responses, we are not sure whether we will end up with a room with a full balcony or not when we arrive. To that end I'm thinking of just picking up a few more Disney plush figures and lights and things to pack to bring home with us I want to give the local little kids a nice display to include them in the Halloween festivities. They will have plenty of kid friendly treats too. We were thanked last year for thinking about the littlest ones while out trick or treating with their older siblings and keeping it friendly not super scary.
I'm thinking positive thoughts for our next visit and will soon be on the mend, more surgery next month and a few more weeks off work and rehab to get through. You girls and guys are keeping my spirits up immensely

We have used quiet pool late. Were told thatd is fine as long as we are quiet. Quiet pool was closed for 2 days. Villa pool was offered.

I know easywdw has reported that some of the QS places in one of the parks (I think it was AK) no longer charges less if you skip the sides. Wondering if the other QS locations will follow suit.

I would rent one from an outside company and have it delivered to the resort. It is like $75 a day to rent one at the parks.

No advance reservations. First come, first serve and they can be slow

Thank you, yes that is what I was asking, I appreciate you asking. I was just wondering if you are being charged extra for the sandpail. We are staying there 10 nights and will probably getting lunch their at least 5 days, so no need for that many pails.

Orlando Theme Park News is reporting that afternoon tea is returning to the Beach Club for dates in June, July, August, and September.

starting from June 16, Guests will once again be able to enjoy the "Afternoon Tea" event at Disney’s Beach Club Resort in the beautiful Crescent Solarium.
The tranquil, comfortable solarium overlooking Crescent Gardens provides an elegant setting for Guests to enjoy classic afternoon tea, savories and sweets, such as house-made scones, petite sandwiches, and some pastries. Alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase during this limited-time event.

Future "Afternoon Tea" dates include the following (tea will be served from 1-5 p.m.):

Are you allowed to use a snorkel (no fins) in Stormalong Bay? My 5 year old has a full face Breathe Easy snorkel face mask she would like to use but I don't want to lug it from the UK if she can't use it there! Thanks.

I don't know the answer to your question, but you are correct. No fins allowed in SAB and absolutely no mermaid tails. Seriously.

My son has used goggles in the pool, I suspect a mask is ok. Not positive about the snorkel. How does your daughter like the Breathe Easy mask? I am an avid snorkeler and I have seen this advertised. It definitely piques my interest because I have a small face and have trouble finding masks that don't leak.

Can someone ask a lifeguard if snorkels are allowed?
