Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

After a great vacation at the BCV, checkout day is NOT going well. Our DME pickup time was 6:30am but no bus came until 7:10! Then, we still stopped at 2 other resorts. We didn't get on the road to the airport until 7:35. With a 9:25 flight this had me quite anxious. Luckily we got to the gate alright expecting to board any minute. Now, a flight delay because of maintenance. No expectation on delay time yet.

It's a sign!!! You are NOT supposed to leave!!! GO BACK!!! :rotfl2:

If anyone was waiting for the magical deal so that they could book their vacations and travel, the email was just sent for deals from Mid-August through early September 2016.

Wait...what happened to Spring offers? I'm waiting for April 2016.

Their Labor Day deals are the biggies so I think they lock those down first so folks can plan now. Many only go once a year using their deals. They'll still have the others too, they just aren't as deeply discounted, usually.

Toward the end of the email, it states that this is the only offer being released at this time.:confused3
It says this too

Stay tuned in late fall for the announcement of our
remaining 2016 Agency Exclusive Offers.

Mewissy, I hope the plane is able to take off in a reasonable time for you.

Got an email that magical deals are there to be had. I know I can't swing a trip in August. It's taking a lot of restraint on my part to not jump on one, anyway. This has been a rough few weeks and thinking I might be back at the BC next year is making me happy.

I think I posted at the same time as others. :)

HAVE a safe flight home. Always SAD leaving such a happy place!:sad2: Hoping to hear your impressions of BCV!:confused3:wave2:

Parking question
We are arriving a day early and staying offsite. Do we have to go to the Beach Club and check in before we can go to the Magic Kingdom?

If we go from the offsite hotel directly to the Magic Kingdom do we have to pay for parking? Will our Magic Bands work to get us in the park? Or do we have to check in first?

Is this resort included in Bounce Back offers? I was hoping to get a fall room discount and it turned out that nothing was ever available since the resort was all filled up already. So would BB be a way to actually get the discount? is that a good strategy? we are going to disney last week of october and are going to book a BB offer, i just need to decide what my top choices are. ty

The BC was included in the 2015 bounce back. Our BB reservation is a BB from last year. We won't know if the BC will be included in the 2016 BB until the offer is released, but typically it is included.

In my opinion, it is always a good idea to book a bounce back offer if you plan to return to Disney during the dates of the offer. Traditionally, bounce back (BB) offers will include more resorts than a general public offer. For example, Port Orleans French Quarter is often excluded from a general public discount but is usually included in a BB. And a room only BB usually has a better discount than a general public offer, usually 35%.

That being said, there is limited availability within the BB offer for resort room categories. We are returning to the BC this October on a BB offer that we booked last October. So we didn't have any problems getting the BC with the BB offer for October. But we couldn't get a BB non-club level room at the BC for April. We had to take the YC.

We are hoping to book a BB at the BC for Oct 2016. :)

My agent reached out to me a few days ago alerting me that she could start quoting today and for someone who wasn't planning to go next year at all, I sure didn't hesitate sending her a few options :upsidedow. I did notice that after doing the math, CL rooms are not discounted nearly as high as they have been in the past including this year's deals so if we do end up deciding to go next August, it will be a non CL room for us for sure. Based on Disney's lousy discounts this Fall, I'm really starting to wonder if next year's deals are going to be on the low end too.

Just placed my order with Private Dining for our daughters Birthday cake!!! Hoping that it is in the room when we arrive as requested. I am really bad at keeping secrets like this but I know she will be so excited to have this surprise :teeth:. Only 21 more days to go.
We had a cake delivered to our room yesterday at the BC and it arrived exactly when it was supposed to. The YC/BC bakery was great to work with.

Not sure whether I'm allowed to ask these questions or not, so please feel free to remove this post if not. What type of discount are we talking about here--potentially a better deal than just booking a bounce back? Did you have a good experience going this route before? I'm trying to figure out how on earth to find a way to manage to have another trip in the works after our November trip comes and goes :) Last year we booked a bounce back and it helped defray my Disney blues...
