Can anyone please tell me if a Dedicated studio is better or quieter than the lock off studios? Planning a trip to the BCV soon but have always stayed at the resort and not the villas. The resort walls are like paper and your neighbors are practically in your room noise wise. Looking for the quietest type of studio and location to request at BCV. Thank you for any help you can provide.

This will be our first stay at the BCV, although we have stayed at the BC twice in the past and LOVED it, SAB is AWESOME. It is my understanding that not all of the DVC resorts have dedicated studios. Most of our DVC stays have been in 2 BR dedicated villas as we love the extra space when we travel with our two older sons and always book dedicated 2BR's when possible for the 2 queens in the 2nd bedroom, rather than the king and a sleeper sofa. We only stay in studios when it is DS and me, so my knowledge is limited. Post this on the DVC Resorts section of the forum and I bet you will get a very quick response from an expert on dedicated studios and what resorts they are at. ENJOY your vaca!

WOW!!!CONGRATS; AWESOME news for your family! When you say "just said yes", do you mean literally this early in the morning? Surprised, younger people are usually not up this early. Hoping SOON in the next year, that our oldest son will pop the question also!

I was told this event happened on Thursday. My niece posted the picture on Facebook on Friday. Went out this morning to share some good news and I thought the background was just too nice to pass up.

Quick update on our way to AK...tour guide was wonderful. SIL was cranky, tried to run the day and complained they had no input into the planning of the trip. Overrode my dinner plans and was shocked when we could not find a place for freaking 10 people to eat together..this poed my SIL, and she started to get extra grumpy. She did not understand or realize the effort it took to get meals for 10, all the planning and logistics and trying to work within her restrictions. (No buffets, no character dining, no burgers or such.) soooo tonight we have dinner at Marrakesh. We have not yet had a meal all together because of her...I am getting tired of this....but the tour was great, rooms awesome, everyone else...having a wonderful time. We watched the afternoon parade in MK from the VIP spot and my SIL did not want to, and tried to take the kids away...we said no, and the kids loved it... Same with fireworks. She also bailed on the illuminations fireworks cruise the first night saying it was going to make her sick....sigh.

Unbelievable, White Rose...can't imagine the stress your SIL is putting on the trip. Hopefully, your Dad is being shielded from it somewhat. Seems others in the party should step up and tell her what a PITA she is being - out of sight and sound of your Dad, of course! Totally unacceptable, childish behavior.

Come on White Rose best Elsa voice, LET IT GOOOOOOO! Just make sure Dad is having a good time and keep the kids (yours and hers) at arms length from her and all will be well. SAB and a Sunken Treasure or two would also help here.

I am anxiously awaiting my DH's 2016 on-call schedule to book 2016. We have awhile LOL, they just fired someone so they have to re-do it. I was considering GF, but I really think we may be back at BC CL Oh, and we will be back in December but BC CL isn't in the budget

White Rose: I hope the rest of your stay is wonderful. I also had a family member who was like your SIL. She actually made me cry on a vacation to Arizona (almost 30 years ago. I think I was in my early 20's). If I could go back and do it over, I would have let her sit outside Old Tuscon movie studio all day in the heat.... Well no I wouldn't have, but a few years later I realized I should just be glad someone didn't call the police for leaving a senior citizen alone in the heat for an hour. We actually heard people talking about that poor old lady alone outside because her family came in. We took a great number of very deep breaths to remain calm. May your Dad have a wonderful 80th birthday, may you and your family have fun, and may your SIL realize (someday) that memories with loved ones are priceless and that future opportunities can be gone in an instant. Glad you have had some pixie dust! Have a great day!

Our magic bands arrived yesterday, so I guess we are in the home stretch now!

On a side note, the Oklahoma State Fair, (in all it's slightly trashy, gluttonous glory), is fast approaching, and while perusing the new food booth options this year, one option caught my eye immediately, and filled my heart with glee........................*wait for it*.............................

PINEAPPLE WHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How exciting! I just ordered my family's Magic Bands last week (February Vacation 2016, here we come!) And yay, pineapple whips!!!! (wrong food, I know LOL)
