Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

Garden Grocer will deliver to Bell Services, where your perishables will be kept cold and the rest of the order stored. You can call down once you are in your room and they will bring it to your Villa. Be sure to tip them for that service.

Just got back and wanted to share my info as I got so much from here. Stayed in room 3565 which had a king bed. We got an upgrade to lagoon view and the room was absolutely incredible. If you're looking for a king definitely request this one.

BOG list alert! Just booked 10/18 - 10/26 @ the BCVs for 2017 F&W.

:welcome: back!

I'll add you to the list.

I am about to do an update.

Looks like if you want anything shipped to your resort its going to cost you an additional $5.00, according to another website!!

I have only skimmed the news about this. When I was reading, it was unclear if this charge would only apply to things that are shipped to the resort (USPS, UPS or FedEx) or if it also applied to package deliveries from places like Garden Grocer or Amazon Prime Next.

Does anyone know if the rules have been clarified?

Glad to hear you were really pleased with your room. Thanks for sharing the info. Do you happen to have a picture of your view?

How bad are the YC rooms these days? I know they are scheduled for refurb starting in January. Debating between YC garden view or paying about $45 (per day) more and going to BCV studio. What would you do?

I stayed at the YC for the first time Oct 16-21 (club level). I thought our room was fine- everything worked, nothing was broken. The only thing I noticed was peeling paint at the bottom of the bathroom door and then when I was looking at my pictures, I noticed the where the shower head connected to the wall was a little rusty.

Here are pictures of my room:

I have links to a few reviews and threads about the condition of YC rooms, but nothing too recent.

Condition of Yacht Club, 2016:

With a refurb at the Yacht Club imminent, but no start date reported yet, there is a lot of concern about the condition of rooms at the resort. I will post some threads and reviews addressing this question:

I think the space in the villas is smaller than the resort rooms. IMHO, I would save the money and stay at the YC, unless there are other reasons you want to stay at the villas (kitchenette)

I think I would save the $45 per day and stay Yacht Club. I like the BCV location better, but the savings would sway me. The microwave and coffee maker isn't enough to amount to a $45 per day savings. I have done both.

The YC room will have two queen beds while the BCV studio will have one queen and one sleeper sofa. I would save my money and stay at the YC.

We had that room and we loved it. The view was fantastic and the location was good, too. I loved people watching from that room.

Would 7:30 am be a good time to be at the bus stop at YC to make the rope drop show at MK, with a 9:00 scheduled open? :tink:

Yes, that's plenty of time. I know buses can be hit or miss, but we've done okay with 8:00 AM from the BC for a 9:00 RD. If a bus shows up at 7:30 AM, you'll be at MK before 8:00 AM. Just factor in the standing time and have fun!

Can pool noodles be purchased in the gift shops? Thank you!

:welcome:

When is your trip?

Yes, you can purchase pool noodles at the BC Marketplace- they could be as much as $5 a piece, though. I'll look at my pictures, but I think the last time I saw a price it was $4.95.

The tubes in the lazy river are readily available, no charge.

On my last trip, I also saw noodles floating around, unattended. I suspect people left them there when their trip was over.

I agree- plenty of time!

When does the opening show begin? Is it 8:40/8:45?

Thank you!!! We leave tomorrow and of course, I cannot find the pool noodles! When we were there a few years ago, we did see some abandoned ones but I wanted to not chance it this visit. Thanks again!

Ok... we just didn't want to arrive too late. I'm NOT a morning person, so the later the better! :upsidedow

Not sure? we haven't done it for YEARS! Prob since 2010.

I didn't know how much time from YC. My girls don't want to miss it this trip and this mama has been known to push it to the last minute in the early mornings. *yawn*
