Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

Day two breakfast. Pancakes, pork sausage, bacon and cheese eggs, and then the asst breads oatmeal pasteies, breads juice yogurts. Everything was hot. Hot entrees are now in left side not right.
How busy is the YC lounge for Breakfast since you are now in the middle of Spring Break?

Thanks for the updates. The hot items were on the left when we were there in September as well. The foods sound pretty much the same as what we had then too. Can you say more about the chair & ottoman? Is it the plain blue pleather one? I’ve had that in several rooms, & didn’t find it particularly comfortable. It would be great if they replaced with something better.

Maybe your magic 8 ball doesn’t know, but that’s not how it has worked at other club levels, which is why I asked. When other CLs have gotten wall units, it’s wall units only, no more individual shampoo, conditioner or body wash.
Yes I knew the final result would be everyone is going to "enjoy saving the planet" by getting away for the individual plastic bottles. Disney has been trying to go that route for years and years. We as guests still don't have to like it.

Easy. No waiting at 715 am. Same at dinner. No waiting. Parks are very crowded but YC does not seem that busy. By the way, the YC has a designated shuttle to and from Boardwalk Pool because of the closing of SAB. Cast Members are manning the area.

That is the first confirmation I’ve heard about the boardwalk pool. Can you ask if that is something they are going to continue doing into the summer? Thanks.

I will ask when I get back to the hotel but CM lounge manager plus CM’s at YC have confirmed to me that it has been on going so I am assuming it will continuing until the pool is completed. There is major construction going on at the YC more than I thought but it does not interfere with us

Wow, that’s surprising, considering there has been no public announcements or comments about being able to use the BWI pool by management. I wonder if it was a last minute decision.

Yeah, maybe the spring break crowds at the quiet pools were untenable. Warmer weather plus more crowds put the pools over capacity??

We were at BC just a couple weeks ago, at the quiet pool a few hours, around the BC/YC area. We never saw any signs or announcements that the BW pool would be an option. I don't think I'd be too happy if I had switched/made a res at BW because SAB would be closed, and now some of those folks are going to come and take chairs and space at the BW pool. The 3 quiet pool options for YC/BC/BCV aren't large, but people with reservations through June have to be expecting that.

I agree. Especially with the announcement that SAB would be closed more than a year in advance & never a mention of BW pools being available. Seems like something made them add this option recently.

Oh look, it's me...:sad1:

Normally we like YC for our Crescent Lake/monorail split stays, and I assumed BWI would see a huge uptick in guests because of the SAB construction because we are part of that (for me it's less about missing out on a pool we don't especially care for, and more about the major visual feature of the resort being a blight). But if I wanted to deal with people soup I'd just wait until we get to the Poly and go to the Lava pool. We are more quiet pool people anyway so we will probably just end up at the BWV pool. We are only there 3 nights before switching.

Just seems that with so much lead time for YC/BC/BCV guests that SAB would be closed for nearly 6 months, they could have warned BW guests they might be getting company. We're the opposite, where we'll spend a little time at the quiet pools early afternoon, but have zero interest in the BW pool (still not interested, even though the clown is long gone!!). Have they ever reciprocated, allowing BW guests access to SAB if the BW pool is closed for an extended period of time? Just curious.

Remember that if the Community hall BWV pool gets to busy for you, there is also the Courtyard pool in the BWI that is often desolate since many BWI guests can't even locate it with a resort map.

It is easiest to find the BWI Courtyard pool from the 2nd floor of BWI via the stairs into the Courtyard or by taking an Elevator from the main elevator down to the 1st floor and following the signs to the exit.

So I have used the YC pool now for two days, weather has been warm, and mostly sunny. Not many crowds, definitely fluctuating. Certainly not overbearing. In the pool shuttles, don’t forget that the CL CM’s told me. If your staying non club level unless when you check in they tell you no one knows. There is no signage. And again, I don’t know if they are also just telling CL guests. Weird to do that but I don’t know.

So is this a perk buyer for CL level guests?

Based on the update from @Ricguz it sounds like an unconfirmed report of what 1 or more YC CL CM stated. @Ricguz shared what they were told, and that this situation is not confirmed as formal offering to all Guests of the YC / BC. I always appreciate real-time updates from on-site DIS members but I never consider this information, Disney official policy.

There are no indications that there are Flyers posted in the Guest rooms. A Posted announcement in the Lobby or even one near any of the SAB entrances. There is simply no way this could be offered to all Guests at the YC / BC resort. The resort Guests at the BWI / BWV would be ready to riot, and for good reason.

So true, and my view of the pool two times just walking the boardwalk area twice at different times, showed that, that pool as not that busy also
