I fly out of MKE all the time. I actually was scoping for cheap flights when one popped up and that is the reason we ended up coming on our trip in May to the BC. It was a "sale" price, <$100 each way. I got the sales notification in my e-mail as part of my frequent flyer program with SW. I think they do a great job in MKE. I would recommend for signing up for their notifications because they let you know which locations are on sale. They just kept sending them to me and knew what I was looking for (cookies) and I was able to pounce on a fantastic fare. Have fun visiting your daughter's family.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to answer my question. Bamfield, I point out you in particular because MKE is where I would be flying out of as well. I will definitely sign up for the email alerts.

Thanks to everyone who gave such detailed descriptions of the differences between BCV and BWV. And thanks, Dee, for the reference to post 16. I had read everything on page one a long time ago, but hadn't paid attention to that because I hadn't considered the BW before!

NateBenMA - Yes you can use my comparison. Thanks for updating me off BoG list as well. It was like I jinxed myself by talking about BWI! LOL
If you want to add these thoughts to my comparison you may:
I'm noticing how the feature Clown pool is actually at BWV and not BWI.
I was a bit upset to see the reformed BC rooms as looking more "high end hotel" and less "Disney Deluxe", but now that I'm looking at photos of the BWI rooms, I'll take the less magical BC rooms any day! (BWI rooms have dark spindle post bed, green carpet and pink sofa. I'm not really a hotel snob, but YUCK!) Oh well, a gaudy room at Disney is better than sleeping in my own room at home! ;-)

I swear, some of the interior designers hired by Disney must be color blind. There was a thread here devoted to hideous comforters at the Disney resorts. It was amazing to see just how ugly they could get.

Be warned! Once you stay there you are spoiled for life! In 2014 we just thought we'd "treat" ourselves to one stay at BC.........Ha! Like having ONE potato chip!!

Has anyone stumbled on the Yacht Club's signature scent in any recent products? I checked back on the first page, and a few of the links are broken. I once purchased a candle that smelled great on etsy but they no longer are a seller. I really don't want to invest in $150 for the enviroscent thing. Anyone know of any good lotions, hair products, or candles that capture the magic smell of YC or BC? Smells can take me right back to that special place without being there Thanks in advance!

Whenever someone mentioned a product, I tried to remember to post the suggestion in the FAQ on Page 1.

A few people have said they ordered candles from such-and-such, but I don't always get the review back of how closely the scent matched.

Hello my Y&BC friends! Haven't been here in awhile...

I thought the scent was Rainkissed Leaves. B&BW seemed to get rid of it for awhile then it came back. I have it in one of my bathrooms now lol. Oops I missed that crazymomof4 already posted this!!

Way back someone once posted this... "Bath and Body Works Rainkissed Leaves is a spot-on Beach Club Lobby scent" I saved the post in a document but have never purchased it myself.

This just gave me a great idea for my daughter's birthday. Her birthday is next Friday and we'll be at heading to the YC in late June. She'd love to have a scented candle reminder to get her ready (we were also there last August). I'll have to check out B&BW for this "special little extra"!

I think it was just marshmallows and free but I could be wrong. Has been over a year.

I have not done this activity, but I believe that is correct. The resort supplies the marshmallows and sticks free-of-charge. 4 marshmallows? 6?

Again, not positive, but I think you can purchase the other supplies at the Marketplace, but it would definitely be cheaper if you brought your own purchased at home (not vacation) prices.

ETA: This is what is on Page 1 (Post 4)

A Campfire and Marshmallow Roast is held nightly on the beach in front of SAB. According to recent reports, marshmallows (a bag of 4) and sticks are provided but if you want to make 'smores you need to bring your own chocolate and graham crackers. I believe these items are available for purchase at the BC Marketplace.
