Resort Thread Disney's WILDERNESS LODGE

You do know that March is a very popular, and busy month. Multiple Spring break weeks, and Palm Sunday is March 29 since Easter is early in 2026 on April 5th.

The CL decision is quite easy, will you be around to take advantage of the day's offerings or not?

The day begins with coffee hour from 6:30 a.m. to 7 a.m., followed by continental breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., light snacks from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., tea and drinks from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., hors d’oeuvres from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and desserts & cordials from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

So I did play with the dates and found the first week of March wasn't affected yet. The week after til like mid April I found the same price again. And im just being like most CMs just which we got something a little better.

As for day of check in I plan to be there around 2, figured with only working 10 mins from the resort in should work day 1 and ill make it up on check out day as the friend and I are locals so we can enjoy the club til 10 if we choose. We most plan to stay around the resort maybe hit up epcot or studios mid day but can always fall back to the resort. We haven't made any real soild plans yet besides knowing we will enjoying the resort.

When are you planning your stay?

It is mostly the Scaffolding that goes up in sections. Right now it is on the Copper Creek (South) side of the Courtyard.

The dock will be closed and boat transportation temporarily suspended from Jan. 12–30, 2026. Bus service will still be available.

Dave

Is the construction really impacting anything at the resort other than seeing scaffolding? I'm considering a resort switch, and we've enjoyed visiting in the past but haven't stayed.
In addition to what Dave mentioned, it’s impacting the geyser which I hadn’t seen mentioned anywhere and Disney didn’t specifically flag to us. Not a huge deal but my kid would have loved it so I had been talking it up and were then bummed to be told by a cast member when we got there that it’s not functional right now. No confirmed open date as of today.

Unfortunately, it’s been a while since we could count on the geyser working, even if there is no construction going on.
My origin story of when and why I got into Disney research dates back to our first trip with our daughter in 1990 when she was almost 4. I had talked up IASW before the trip and then when we got there, there was a sign posted about it being closed for our future enjoyment! We were so disappointed (at that time we had no idea that we would be returning so many times over the years). Anyhow, since then I have made a point of researching, even when I don’t have a trip planned. But no matter how much research you do, the geyser is no longer a sure thing. :(

Yes the Fire Rock Geyser has been missing in action for a number of our visits in the last 6 years. That last story was it was a plumbing issue with the main water line but who knows.

Dave
Same! Out of the 5 or 6 visits over the past 2 years, I can only think of one time when it was actually working. And when it was, it surprised me!
