It's the first time I've posted photos since the format of the forum changed. When I posted the photos earlier they were full size, which is what they still are for me when I'm logged in.
But if I look at the thread not logged in, they are small, like thumbnails.

Can everyone else see the full size photos or just thumbnails? :confused3

I'm on my phone, but I see them full size.

I see them full size. They are thumbnails if you are not logged in.

This is fantastic detective work. :thumbsup2 You are right about the patio doors having to remain, so maybe they are building small villas or 2 br villas. :confused3

any thoughts on what I can do with the leftover food we won't be taking with us?

They are full size when I'm logged in - but I log out of disboards when I'm done, I never stay logged in, so sometimes I come in to check something, and don't log in, just check threads - well ALL pictures show up in thumbnails - and if I click on it - I get taken to a page that says I don't have privileges to view the pictures I'd have to register or log in!

so it must be a privacy, safety thing!

We check in tomorrow in a studio at the Villas, first time at the Villas, but have stayed at WL several times. I hope we get a room away from the remodeling!

Hey, RDW we plan on checking in around 2:30 or 3:00, depending on traffic from Universal. I know what you mean about throwing stuff away, I have done that before too when I couldn't find anyone to give my stuff to when we left. I would private message you but I don't remember how to do that.

I'm not versed in what locationis where, but I can tell you where I am and the scaffolding we see?

We have a Woods View room - unfirtunately, we also face what I think is the loafing dock? :(. No pretty view here if you don't look straight out over the trees (ie, if you look down at all). We are in 6050 and there is scaffolding to our right at the back if the building. Need to watch how we step out onto the deck - lots of construction workers.

Is anyone arriving here soon that I could leave extra food / snacks for? We seem to have ordered way more water and other stuff than we need and I hate to just throw it all away. Any ideas?

Room 6050 is a standard view room, even though you also have a view of the woods. ;) It sounds like the scaffolding is in front of the woods view rooms of the north wing. That would mean that it has managed to make its way around the resort and it would most likely be finished on the south side and the inner courtyard areas. So people with a courtyard view room would not be seeing scaffolding. :)

I don't have any photos of the scaffolding but when we left a week ago I remember seeing scaffolding in 2 places. The whole of the front of WL had scaffolding, around and above the entrance. Then the end of the north wing (rooms 00-04 area), coming around into the courtyard a little. I think that was kind of moving from courtyard and around because we were there 2 weeks and on our first day we headed from Roaring Forks down the corridor planning to use the door right at the end to go to the boat dock. But the door was blocked. When we went past it outside, there was scaffolding all around that area. At that time, there was no scaffolding over the 00-04 area, but a few days later there was, so it seemed that they were working their way along the courtyard and around the end of the building.

We particularly noticed because although this time we were staying in VWL, when we stay at WL the 00-04 room area is our first choice. I don't know if the rooms behind the scaffolding were in use or not but suspect they were otherwise it would be a large block of rooms to have unavailable at a busy time. Each time we went to the boat dock we commented on the scaffolding being in front of 'our usual' room, and that fact that it was so noisy. It sounded like they were sandblasting, it was a constant heavy noise, far more intrusive than anything we heard during the pool construction work last October when we stayed in that room area.

Thank you all! I was hoping the scaffolding would have made its way out of the courtyard before we arrived. Phew...so far, all is going as planned. 59 days!

We have an ADR at chef Mickey at 5:40. We will be leaving from WL. What time should we get down to the dock to catch the boat to CR?

You're welcome to it! I have water, bread, milk, oranges, apples, figures, cheese sticks. Bought a ton and turns out all I should have bought were Cheerios! Lol.

We have ME around 7:30, but if you want, it will be in the room and I can say it's beubg picked up?

To be honest, I'd be at the dock an hour before. You just never know when the boat is coming and we've arrived to watch it pull away from the dock as we're walking up! They normally run about every 20 minutes or so if I'm not mistaken. Once you're on the boat it will take about 5 minutes to get to the CR. If you arrive early, tour the CR. I love the gift shops and it's a beautiful resort. :tink:

Good luck! I've stayed there once before and DD and her family twice. We loved it every time. The lobby area is beautiful and I love the rocking chairs on the porch. :thumbsup2 You'll have to post your room view. DD has had a Bay Lake view (1 bedroom); my friend and I had a studio and it was the perfect room! It faced the walkway to the bus area which meant VERY little walking from our room to the bus....really nice returning from the parks after a long day. :goodvibes :tink:

RDW, sorry I missed you, maybe someone will be able to use your stuff. Thanks for offering!!! Goopysolelady, I will try and post pics or at least tell you about the room and view. Just a few hours now!!!

I often have this issue and wonder if there a system that we could come up with. We often end up with lots of water, snack items and even unopened cereal boxes left over. I get so sad when we just leave it! :confused3:scratchin

There is a freecycle group on Facebook that matches people with extra items left over at the end of a Disney trip. Search for WDW Disney Freecycle on Facebook to join the group.

:wave2: Checked in today and I am so glad we chose to stay here. Water pageant was fun and we have a great inner courtyard pool view. We didn't even notice the noise during the pool party this afternoon. DD now refers to WL as home and I don't think I really want to leave either. :lovestruc
