Does anyone know if Geyser point or the take out window is still serving the waffle fries?

Back in February when I didn't get waffle fries with my burger I asked a bartender and they said they no longer were serving waffle fries :( Hopefully it comes back!

We are arriving on 5/31….I was curious if anyone is there now and could post current activities at the resort? Trying to get a feel for what is going on at the resort since we aren’t doing parks this visit. Thank you! 🙂
I saw the table outside near Roarin Forks for making tie-dye shirts but didn't see or read about other activities. (no kids in my party) I was there last week.

Ooo that’s good news for us. We did not like those. A bit too crispy for our tastes.

Okay, I've been staring at the computer too long because I thought this:

was a reply to this:

I was confused as to why the tie-dye shirts would be crispy. (Then I figured out that it was a comment about the waffle fries, not a comment abou the shirts.)

We unexpectedly had an extended stay in Florida a few weeks ago (our initial stay was at YC) and ended up at Boulder Ridge. I was a little hesitant in booking bc i was paying a ridiculous cash price for basically what my home looks like..but I can honestly say everything was perfection. Very peaceful and serene. My mom commented how nice she felt the cast members were. A genuine nice, not a forced "this is my job" nice.
The food was amazing.. Granted it's not Michelin dining but it was flavorful and filling.

The moral... A place that I thought would be "dumb" to pay for when I live in the Wilderness in everyday life... We are now booked to spend our Christmas holiday there.

Wilderness Lodge rooms just became available for our dates at the end of November and we switched to a Courtyard view from the Boardwalk. WL is one of my dream resorts. What are some of your favorite things at Wilderness Lodge? How are the courtyard views?

Favorite resort here! Favorite things? Too many to count...but.....for starters:
The lobby! Love coming "home" to it each night!
The food - Roaring Fork, Whispering Canyon and Geyser point are all fantastic! (Don't spread the word about Geyser point - a true gem)!
The views. From everywhere. The tranquility of the resort and it's ability to feel secluded yet be in the literal heart of Walt Disney World
The boat service to the Magic Kingdom
The service. We have stayed at almost all of the resorts over the past few decades and I must say that the service we receive at the WL from the front desk, to the restaurants, to room service is always top notch and a bit above even far more expensive deluxe resorts.

Those are just a few of my favorite things. I think the best thing I can say is that if I won a free trip to Disney World and could stay anywhere I wanted it would be the Wilderness Lodge.

Thank you for posting this! I’m booked at WL the first week of December, but previously had to break it into two reservations to get all my days. Today I was able to modify to a single reservation for my whole trip. So happy!

One of my favorite things at WL is the fireplace. It’s so relaxing to sit in one of the rockers and gaze at the fire after a long day - especially if it’s been chilly outside like it sometimes is during the winter months.

Another favorite thing (things?) is the Christmas decorations. They are some of the best on property.

Oh, and the lobby ambient music that is tranquil and majestic at the same time. :music: Does anyone know if they play a special soundtrack at Christmas time?

The stream coming into the lobby.
The ducks in the stream outside.
The woodfire smell when you walk in.
The lighting and the music.
The pool.
The boat ride to MK. Magical every time. I don't even know why.
We have stayed all over and this time I let the kids pick between WL and any other resort. It was 1/2 second until they both said WL, hands down. Enjoy!
( Courtyard views are really nice and you will see the geyser most likely. When I had young kids I didn't like the pool noise (they had to nap), but now it doesn't bother us at all. )

The stream coming into the lobby.
Just one update the theme is that stream starts in the lobby at the small bridge and the main elevators and flows through the courtyard and into the Silver Creek Springs pool (just a visual illusion) those Disney imagineers are quite creative.

And a couple of additions to your great list would be the Wilderness Lodge's Fire Rock Geyser and Geyser Point for dining next to Bay lake.

kicking myself for only booking nature view for our next trip. Ultimate goal is club level, fingers crossed it reopens! I need some cobbler in my life...

If the MK fireworks have returned, and you just happen to get a view of the fireworks from your nature view room, you might not regret your room choice. :)

Went in the day after you posted this to look for a standard room the last week in November. They were gone! I guess if you snooze you lose!

Missing my lodge, so thankful for the photos posted and the reasons why we love the lodge

it’s peaceful walking around the grounds and pleasant cast members

the only downfall is rooms are a little smaller than most deluxe, i ‘m hoping we can stay here during the holidays again soon

We've had great fireworks views from standard view - believe it or not. Obviously highest floor possible, but 5050 or that area had a castle view and fireworks view. Service area below though.
