Can anyone tell me about Disney's Vero Beach Resort? I am not a DVC member but am thinking about planning a trip there in July. What is there to do? How is the resort? What are the resturants like? What resturants are nearby that you can drive to? Do you recommend it for teenage boys (14 and 16)? How is the beach? Any info would help.

We love Vero. Going for my fifth time this summer. It's great for kids and adults. There are two sit down resturants on site, a pool side bar/food area, and the "Green Cabin Room which is a bar that also serves food as well. It has a small balcany that overlooks the ocean. It's great. It's a fairly small resort so nothing is very far from each other. There is a great beach. It's a great place to go and relax.

We love Vero Beach, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it for kids who want to be in the ocean all the time - at least in comparison, say, to North Carolina's Outer Banks. The pool and the rest of the amenities are great, but the beach is narrow and there's something about the beach that just doesn't seem that inviting to me. But that may be just us - I'd definitely get more opinions from families with teenagers before taking this review all that seriously.
