I had a reservation using a PIN for April 9-16. It was for 25% off room only at the Pop. When the new discounts came out for the rest of the dates I decided to change to May 7-15. I priced the new trip on the website starting off by clicking on the "special offers" link. With our 6 day PH tickets it was showing $1724. I wanted to make sure the discount was being applied so I tried to save that offer but no option to save. Instead I opened up a second tab and, skipping the special offers link, just went right to the "price your vacation" feature. Same exact trip details = $1924. Great!!! $200 saved! I go back to the first tab to book it and the price has magically changed from $1724 to $1924 :confused3

When I closed both tabs and started the whole thing over again using the special offers link it was back to $1724. Very strange and easy to get confused and pay the higher rate if you're not careful.

Since I needed to cancel my existing reservation I decided to call and then book the new dates at the same time. The rep priced out the new trip for me but didn't know anything about the "special offer". Luckily I had seen the YW3 code discussed on the DIS boards and gave her that. New price $1717. THANK YOU DIS CODES FORUM

I don't know what to think and I'm still not 100% sure I got what I wanted. Anyone familiar with how long it will be before I will get a confirmation email and/or be able to view my new reservation on the website?

I've gotten email confirmation in as soon as 1 hour up to 24 hours. There really isn't a set time.

I hope you got what you wanted!

Still not sure if I got what I wanted, lol.

Got the confirmation and it has the correct dates and resort info but I don't see the park passes on there and it has a note about a minimum deposit being due by 1/13 of $1029. I thought payment was due 45 days before and we check in 5/7! I calculate 45 days before as at least mid March. Is it 45 business days?

Also not sure where they are coming up with the add'l $1029. It was $1717 and I paid a $200 deposit. That $1039 is more than the total cost of the room only and too low to be total w/ park passes!

You'll get an invoice, probably tomorrow morning which will show everything, including park passes. You can go on the disneyworld website and pull up your ressies that way with the confirmation number, and that may be a little more specific. When I got my last confirmation it only said the hotel and the guests, and I don't think it credited my deposit BUT the invoice I got the following day did. Good luck!

Called them today to question the cofirmation email that was sent. They had me booked as a room only w/ PH tix as an "add on", not as a package reservation which was why they were looking for payment on 1/13 instead of 3/23???? Not sure I totally understood that. I thought room only bookings were not due until check in. Strange system they have...

Anyway, I told them I did not want to pay anything else until 45 days before our arrival so today's rep, after putting me on hold for at least 15 minutes, came back to advise that they had reinstated my original April package booking and simply changed the dates to May - which yesterday's rep was not able to do. They will cancel the "new" reservation made yesterday and credit my visa for the deposit charged to it yesterday and leave the charge for the original deposit.

For some reason there was a $7 difference in price this way. She advised that the tax structure was different for a package vs. a room only + park tix add on?????

Now I know what the other posters mean by CM roulette!

In today's mail I received a new offer for 35% off Value or Moderate. My existing discount is 20% so I was thrilled. However, the very first date of my stay is not included in the dates offered. I am on hold with a rep now who is checking to see if she can apply it to the rest of my stay.

If it's possible, someone on this forum knows how to do it!!! Any advice on how to get this done? Do I have to split up my stay into 1 night at 20% off and 7 nights at 35% off? I am currently booked as a package w/ PHs and no DDP.

TIA

Per the rep I spoke to I would have to split up my booking and book one night at regular rate and then the other at the new 35% off rate. Unfortunately, there are no rooms left at the Pop for the discounted rate (the code just got here!). She was not able to apply it to just a portion of my existing reservation. Please not that the wording says "for stays most nights ...... 5/8 - 5/27......." We are checking in 5/7!

Has anyone had experience making this work against an existing reservation when the first date is not covered by the discount? We would have to move to ASMu or ASMo and I'd rather not. The price difference is about $130 so I'm on the fence about what to do. Really wanted to stay at POP as it was highly recommended by a friend who is a frequent Disney traveller.

The rep was correct. And any offer or booking depends on availability.
If guests have to arrive between 5/8 and 5/27, a 5/7 arrival cannot include that offer.

If this were me, I would split up the reservation for the 20% rate for the first night, then another 20% reservation for the remaining time. Then I would call in first thing each day (or try to book what you want on the page that lets you book with the pin) (I read where rooms that have been turned back in go back into inventory for the beginning of the next day--don't know if it's true or not but I'd give it a try) and keep trying to get the 35%. Try again at night as well too, just in case.

Good luck!

Disney's site does not allow you to save "Special Offers." That's 1) because of limited room availability, and 2) to avoid the situation in which someone saves an offer and then, after the offer expires, insists that Disney honor the "saved" offer.
