Disney's Tigger accused of fondling child

Well let's see.....

Tigger is standing in public doing this and no one else noticed????Do you really think this man is that stupid?

I can understand a child being afraid to say something, but it took MOM a month to realize she had been fondeled too. Why didn't she slap Tigger then and there and start complaining?

I feel sorry for the kid in the Tigger suit. I smell a lawsuit. The next step is to sue Disney for Emotional trauma and suffering.

I am willing to bet the man may have touched the girl's breast. Those costumes have limited sight lines and it could easily happen in error.

Wouldn't most of us if Tigger had done this to us gone to guest services and raised cane then>?

I am hoping this is an "accident" of some kind, as I do NOT want to go to WDW and not see characters about due to lawsuits like this!:( Can you imagine going to WDW and not seeing Pooh, Tigger, Mickey and Minnie?

Unfortunately, this is not the first time something like this has happened.

I used to work with a girl who was having her photo taken with Pinnochio. Pinnochio suddenly turned into a real boy and laid a hand on her chest.

Also, Baloo or Brer Bear decided that my g/f needed a little frontal massage not too long ago, but she was too quick for him.

 Wow, I wonder if there is truth to this story than...? :(

As much as I would like to believe that this new story is false, I wouldn't be surprised if it is true. I would love to think the Disney magic prevents this type of behaviour, but the characters are people too and these things happen.

Not that I'm bashing all the Disney CM's, but with as many CM's as there are, I'm sure the "real world" percentages of good CM's to not-so-good CM's hold true, also.

Unfortunately, it appears as though this incident was real. The article in the Orlando Sentinel stated that the police officer accompanied the CM back to his house and was shown multiple photos of this same type of behavior in the past. Apparently the CM had a friend on hand to snap a picture of his inappropriate behavior.

After reading all this, what comes to mind is that now, for safety reasons, they will either have the characters behind some kind of rope or other barrier or they will only have them at very limited (and controlled) meet and greets. THAT would be such a shame. I love seeing the look on my DS's face when he can run up to Pooh (or Mickey or whoever) and hug them. I could see Disney instituting a "no contact" rule and that would be sad. No more hugs.

Reminds me of how teachers are afraid to touch a child today, even to console, for fear of legal problems. We are living in a very sterile, seclusive world I am afraid.
