I have been offered a good rate for Disneys the Dolphins Resort. $69. And was wondering what kind of amenties does the resort offer.

yes it is a good deal. Where did you find it?

You could also check their website www.SwanDolphin.com

If you have questions about any specific amenities I would be glad to try to answer them (as I'm sure would several others on this board), but your question is rather general, therefore difficult.

An easier question to answer would be "What amenities does the Dolphin not have?"
It is my 2nd favorite resort at WDW (second only to the Swan).

You got a very good price.

Good for you - great rate! S/D are my fav resorts - I can't choose one over the other.

Lots of amenties - a good number of restaurants from Tubbi's to the Dolphin Fountain to high end dining. Wonderful pools, beach area, health club, and so much more!

Btw, the Dolphin and Swan are Sheraton / Westin resorts not owned by Disney.

Don't pass up this deal!

The Dolphin is a 4 1/2 star hotel with a large beautiful lobby. It has a "Grotto" pool with a water fall and a cool slide. The pool is very large (actually 3 separate pools plus a baby pool) and there is also a beach area with hammocks and a play area. The Dolphin has an arcade, ice cream parlor, and laundry facilities. The Dolphin and its neighbor the Swan have several restaurants from a 24-hour cafeteria to one of the best steakhouses in Florida. There's also a meal with Disney Characters.

The best part about the Dolphin is LOCATION! You can walk to Epcot and take a short boat ride to MGM. We don't even rent a car when we stay there. The Dolphin is next to the Beach Club/Yacht Club resort, which has rooms starting at around $300/night, and it's right across from Disney's Boardwalk, a great spot a night with a carnival type atmosphere.

The "rack rate" for a standard room at the Dolphin is $325, and most of us are thrilled to get a discounted room at $149. For $69 a night, you are getting a GREAT deal! (I assume this is from Priceline.)

Don't you DARE pass up that offer! It is an amazing resort! Fantastic location! Great pool! Beautiful rooms! Great staff.. Did I mention... LOCATION??!!! The boardwalk is so much fun and you have the great resteraunts of EPCOT just a quick walk away!

Yes. This is a good deal. The Dolphin is not a Disney owned resort. It is run by Starwood. I am assuming you got the $69 rate through Hotwire or Princeline. We have stayed at the Dolphin twice and will be back for a third trip this coming Sept. I am sure you will have a great trip.

It may not be "owned by Disney" but it is on "disney property" and in one of the best locations, IMHO. Some of the views from the Dolphin are spectacular!

Enjoy!

Ok, where did you get that rate? Do tell.

We just returned from a week's stay at the Dolphin - and we LOVED it!!!! We got it for a steal at $70 a night on Priceline ( i booked it in Jan) We will definately be returning to the Dolphin in the future! We loved the pools , the heavenly beds and the transportation was great! There wasn't a single problem during our stay. Take advantage of that price - from what I see the Dolphin doesn't come up too often for that price. We really enjoyed our stay and I almost felt guilty for staying there at $70 a night ( almost;) )

Wow!! DO NOT.... I REPEAT, DO NOT LET THAT DEAL GO BY!!!

That is a fantastic deal! The Dolphin is a beautiful resort, I love it there. I actually had ressies there for my upcoming trip, but changed to CSR, because I got a better deal. But had I only been paying $69/night I would had stuck with the Dolphin and did a little happy dance to boot!!

That's why my family LOVES the fact that my dad works a hotel that is owned by a STARWOOD hotel. We have taken advantage of his discount SO many times. Depending on the hotel.....employees get discounts for $29, $49, and $69 a night at different sheraton based hotels.

I have stayed at a westin hotel in atlanta for $49 a night and I am also going to Disney in August.....Staying at the SWAN for 5 nights for just about $400 with taxes and such.

THANKS DADDY;)
