Just another opinion.... a viewpoint from a couple with no children along with us......
We stayed a few years ago at Riverside and absolutely loved it. So relaxing. we particularly like the option of the boat to downtown. We were in the quiet pools until late at night...relaxing and floating under the stars. Brilliant.
However..last May we stayed at FQ at I was really fed up at the end of 10 days. It was just too busy for us, without children.
The foodcourt was understaffed, so hot food was cold by the time we had paid. And the Pool/hot tub over run with children even late at night, so there was no where relaxing for us to snooze in the sun.
We did walk down to Riverside a few times, and the Food court was much better. The smaller pools though were equally full and noisy. We have no problem with children.we love Disney after alll! It was just the lack of a quiet corner. We also thought the rooms were a little tired, particularly the bathrooms and towels. We had come straight from 5 days at Best West Movieland..(cheap and cheerful just to "do" Universal etc) and to be honest, the bath and towels were much better there!! We love the themeing and everything though. And we still had a great time. It may be was the time of year, and the effect that the
Disney Dining Plan seems to have had across all the world? Not sure. may have been a one off.
We were hoping to try out Coronado springs this next time, (May) but the prices are too high. So we are opting for a private villa with pool. I will probably be complaining its tooo quiet!!!!
