Thanks @DavidHobart! Great news! We're visiting in September and normally request the 60's section but I want to try one of the refurbished rooms so am looking at new options in the refurbished rooms. Was hoping to request the 9100's area. Is this the building they're working on. Not too sure which is 'Building 9'? Is it the building with rooms that start with a '9'?
Yup, building 9 has rooms numbered 91xx through 94xx. The first number is the building, the second the floor

Is there anyone currently at POP or very recently returned that can tell me the price of a case of water? We have found the Dasani(?) 24 pack of 12 oz bottles at many other resorts. Last June, they were $6.99 at Contemporary and in December they were $6.99 at Poly. I read somewhere that at POP they were $16.99, but I'm not sure how current that is. I'm hoping that the price is the same across WDW and that they are $6.99 at POP also.

$16.99 is the price at both POP and AoA

Thank you. Guess I'll pick some up at another resort or ship some in.

It still boggles my mind why they are so expensive at Pop and AoA. We have personally seen or bought them for $6.99 at:

CBR
POR
POFQ
Beach Club
Yacht Club
Boardwalk
All Stars ( all 3)
Coronado
Poly
Grand Floridian
Old Key West

The only thing I'm really not happy about the renovations is them basically taking away the table when you use the bed. How is that even a good idea? :sad2:

I am a long term Pop Century fan and I am rather disappointed about the loss of the table. I can deal with moving the bed every day to get the table, but that kind of sucks. Rooms are renovated, I pay more, and I get to do more work for my troubles....But here's an idea: why can't disney keep a folding table in each room, in the closet perhaps? Then those who want an extra table can set it up, like the ironing board. And it doesn't take up space for people who don't want it.

Or perhaps a "murphy table", a table like that murphy bed where you yank it down to be a table, or put it up and it's a mirror, perhaps?

I suspect the ironing boards in the rooms at Pop will start to see more action in the next few years than they've seen in the last 14 years. But they'll be used as a table rather than for pressing clothes.

I think it would make total sense to have a wall-mounted folding shelf between the beverage center and the dresser. If you don't need it, keep it flat against the wall. But if you need a table when the beds are being used, you can open it. They aren't that expensive and I think a lot of people would find them useful. I'm sure the problem would be that people would put too much stuff on the shelf and break it. Honestly, I'd rather have that shelf than the coffee maker but I know I'm the minority. :)

Don't disbelieve you at all on that but why would they sell an entire case of 24 for hardly more than the cost of 2 bottles? Wouldn't almost everyone then buy a whole case?

Has anyone doe Hoop-Dee-Do while staying at Pop? I think we'll take the bus from MK to HDDR, but I'm wondering what the best way is to return to Pop. We're doing the third show so the parks will be closed when we're done. Should we take an Uber from FW? (I'm not opposed to that at all), or ride back to TTC? Or do they have busses to the different resorts at the end of each show?

After the 3rd show they have buses that will take you to POP, they just share with other resorts

Do the current rooms, not the refurbished, have a retractable clothesline in the bathroom or over the bathtub? Trying to figure out what I need to bring to help dry swim-trucks or shirts.

Also, know this might be a strange question, but will the sinks keep water in it well if the stop is down, or do they even have a stop? I'm planning on bringing quick dry shirts and plan on washing them in the sink mid-vacation.

I am not sure about the sink but when we were there in October we had the retractable clothesline.

I've heard Pop now has new toiletries. Anyone have info or pics?
Yes, my friend is there now and says they have the H2O Sea Salt soaps, and Sea Salt conditioner, and the green Marine shampoo. Same stuff we had at GF last year, except conditioner there was Collegen I think. No lotion or shower gel for Pop, but I'm excited to get the seperate shampoo & conditioner. One less thing to pack. And it's an upgraded product from what they had.

Just to shed some light on the towel animals. I posted this about a year ago but still stands as true.

My aunt was a housekeeper at WDW for 14 years and recently retired. The towel animals were always meant for guests to take home if they wanted. Therefore, the towels the housekeepers use to make the animals are towels that are going to be taken out of "service" due to fraying, looking ragged etc. That's why they were not always left for guests because there had to be some that were going to be "retired". Not only did there need to be towels available to be made into animals, the housekeeper had to have the time to make them up. They were always meant to be something special, not expected. And as the guests started complaining that they are paying $$$ for the room or tipping $$$ and not getting towels animals every day, they have decided to stop the practice. Though there still are some housekeepers that enjoy doing it so much that they will still do it. But as a whole, they are not encouraged to any longer. So if you do get some, enjoy. But don't expect them
So sad people got demanding on something that was meant as a suprise. The entitlement of some people is getting out of control. :sad2:

I bought some H20 lotion at Poly when we were there in March after our breakfast because I'd heard so much about it.

I'm excited about that upgrade...nice stuff!

We normally do a garden grocer order for some snacks, beverages (adult too..lol), and always get a case of water as well. They are great and can deliver to the bell stand before you arrive. They will even refrigerate cold stuff until you pick it up from them.
