Thanks but thats not what I meant really.... i meant will they put presents that Ive bought outside Disney floral and gifts, while we are out, in the room for me to surprise my Fiance/hubby

Oh sorry....I misunderstood. But I believe that the answer would still be no. They really don't want anyone besides mousekeepers and CMs delivering ME luggage in guest rooms when you are not there. You could ask but I would be prepared to hear no.
Any way to send him to the food court a few minutes ahead of you maybe? Have him get in line? Trying to come up with a way to get him out of the room for a few so you can do it. :)

When you pay OOP, who much do you generally pay? How many people are in your party?

My hubs and I have gone twice by ourselves many years ago. We had the free DDP and used up all of our credits easily. We didn't over indulge by any means, but it was just nice having everything paid up front. It felt very 'all-inclusive' - I just worry the cost for all the TS/character meals (CRT, BOG, 50sPT, Ohana's, Crystal Palace) plus buying snacks and QS lunches or breakfasts, depending on the time of day for 4 people now (2 adults, 2 children).

Hi there, I had the Dining plan last October but for my Jan trip I am paying out of pocket. If you want to look into what might be a better deal for you guys check out www.distripplanner.com/ You can slot in all of your days, the people in your party, if you would get resort mugs, as well as how many snacks you think you might get, whether you order desserts, appetizers etc. For every day just pick where you think you might be eating from the drop down menus or pick the "any table service/any quick service" options to get an average price.

After you slot everything in they will outline things for you at the bottom broken down by paying out of pocket as well as every dining plan. I hope this helps. :)

Thanks! I used that and it looks like we'll spend about $1200 for the 4 of us to eat there. That is OUTRAGEOUS! I'll gladly pay the $800 for the dining. So it looks like we'll be staying at the Pop OR AOA with the DDP for now. I'm super excited though!

Has anyone posted the nov calendar and movie schedule? Maybe I missed it?

Just tried this for our upcoming trip. We are small eaters and plan on mainly using Quick Service restaurants. The calculator came really close to what I had budgeted independently. I was impressed and relieved that I didn't under-budget for our meals. Great site!

That's intresting..I loaded just qs meals breakfast, lunch, dinner for 6 days and got around 1200. The cost for the dining plan would not save me anything especially factoring the discounts your could yeild by piece your package together. I was able to save around 400 compared to rack rates.

Wondering if the calculator takes into account desserts, drinks, etc. for CS?

According to their website drinks yes. You can opt in or out of desserts and appetizers. Click on the link and try it out. If you know what restaurants you want it only takes a few minutes.

Anyone know the drinks available at the poolside bar? Other than beer. Thanks!!

I just redid ours now that I know where we plan to eat each day.

This is what it quoted me:
Quick Service Meals: $262.70
Table Service Meals: $484.52
Snacks: $78.60
Refillable Mugs: $71.96
Taxes: $26.76
Tips: $53.75
Total - $978.29

To add dining to our package is ~ $800, so that's like savings of $179. I'm okay with that. I like the luxury of pre-paid meals. I just don't have to worry about what we're going to eat to not spend a fortune. It's not for everyone, but I think it works for us.

Also, I've calculated exactly what we will get at most of the TS restaurants already including tip and tax (when not included) and that came out to $575 alone, not including our 1 snack per day and 1 QS meal per day or mugs (souvenirs IMO).

DDP works for our family, especially if it's "free" - the rack room rate discounts for us is about $150 total (around 0% off moderate?). :scratchin

Can anyone tell me if i can get rails put on the bed for my two year old? Or if i can push the bed up against the wall to keep him from falling out? :confused3 BTW he is a big 2 yr old doesnt fit in a pack and play any more! Thanks in advance!!

Unfortunately the Beds are on permanent pedestals and are not moveable.
I know at one time, bed rails were available on a first come first serve basis and you could request them at check in. I haven't had to use them in such a long time, I am not sure anymore. Hopefully one of our other Disboard friends will chime in that has used them more recently :goodvibes

Has anyone posted the nov calendar and movie schedule? Maybe I missed it?

Here's November movies at Pop Century:
Sunday: Tarzan
Monday: The Aristocats
Tuesday: The Rescuers Down Under
Wednesday: A Bug's Life
Thursday: Pocahontas
Friday: Sleeping Beauty
Saturday: Wreck-It Ralph

What are current mug colors available?

I'm getting a little rusty on my mug lid/handle colors, but I think this is still the lineup: red, blue, yellow, purple

EDIT: Looks like yellow has been changed for green.

Just got back and we were lucky enough to be ground floor 60's lake view by the bridge. We ended up using Art of Animation bus at least 5 times back to the hotel and walking across the bridge to our room. Some nights the line for POP was huge and we took the much shorter line at Art. The buses are beside each other so if you are lucky enough to be by the bridge I would just take the quicker bus. Just thought I would pass that on.

Do any of the rooms have a microwave? Just thinking we could make our little one grits in the morning while we get ready.
