We too are going to fill our mugs with coffee and put in the fridge for the next morning. I have been reading how the food court has an issue with the ice machines never having ice. Does each of the buildings (we are requesting 50's section) have an ice machine? If so, that ice is ok to consume, right?

Yes, but the ice machines in each building often run out of ice, too.

I checked into Pop yesterday. Maybe I'll feel differently by the end of the trip but here's what I think so far: I absolutely love it! I've stayed at CSR, POFQ and WL. I was afraid because this is our longest trip, our first in a value and our first with our little boy (15 months). We had at least 3 or 4 choices where to put his pack & play and room enough for all our junk so room size isn't the issue I feared (he's put behind curtain in sink area for less distraction). Room is clean. CMs are all friendly. Lake view is amazing. Only complaint is it was quite a walk back & forth when unpacking but I chose view and room floor over convenience. I would choose this over Coronado.

Yay!!! Thanks for the report. I'm so excited - we will be there for out first visit on Saturday!!! I've never been to wdw so have nothing to compare it to which I think will make it EVEN better!!

We'll have refillable mugs for our upcoming trip and I'd love to grab a coffee on our way to the buses each morning. But I don't really want to be dragging a refillable mug around with me all day. Is it possible to tell the CM we have refillable mugs but just get a disposable cup for coffee? Or am I going to have to take my mug down, get it filled, transfer to a disposable cup and then take my mug back to my room? I'd rather not have to deal with the back-and-forth each morning if possible.

Requested 70's. Building 10 top floor. I am a lite sleeper. Think this will work
I just made a reservation for May and did not put in my room request. Can I go back somewhere online to do that, or do I need to call?

Is there vending machines?? Arriving at the airport at 10:15 so probably won't be to the hotel by 11:30 or later , will probably want a late night snack ... Food court closes at 11 right??

You can call any time, or make your requests during online check in 60 days prior to your arrival.

Thank you! This is our first trip not staying in a preferred room, and I wanted to try for the 4th floor lake view people have raved about! It sounds nice!

Random question; does anyone know if they sell any sort of bottled coffee at Pop, or anywhere on property for that matter? Arriving Sunday, was planning to have a coffee maker shipped, that fell through (not happy with Staples right now) and trying to come up with alternatives. I know I can get coffee at the food court, but I'm trying to come up with an option I can hit the minute I open my eyes. :coffee:

I've stayed at Pop September 2012 & 2013 so I may be outdated.. but from what I remember, there was no bottled coffee and I had a few cups of coffee with the refillable mug to get me going every morning. I do remember them selling energy drinks like Monster but no coffee (I love iced coffee so I was sad to find there was none) but one plus is that they do make cappuccinos, lattes, and "popaccinos". :)

We did not go to Disney for Fall Break like we usually do. Disney just sent me an offer I could not refuse! Looks like we'll be back home at Pop in late May! I have never been at this time of the year. This trip will be extra special - just my 2 DDs and me! They are 17 and 14, so time is flying by for these moments. Thanks to my wonderful DH for sending us off with his blessing! Now, time to start my planning sheets!

We are headed to POP on Thursday! Yay!

We are not attending the Halloween party at MK on Friday, though. Does anyone know if POP does anything special or different for Halloween?

Thanks!!

Yes!

We were there last year. There were games, a scavenger hunt, trick or treat and a couple characters stopped by.

Yes but only in the Kids breakfast!
It will come with 2 mickey waffles, 1 piece of Bacon, 1 piece of sausage and an applesauce cup. I switched out the sausage for another slice of bacon and I switch the applesauce for strawberries. PERFECT size Bfast for me! :)

Just left Pop and the kid waffle meal was the Pop waffles, I didn't see any Mickey waffles.

Just booked a "preferred pool view" room and now I'm questioning whether it was worth the "upgrade". Does anyone have experience with these rooms? Is it worth the extra few dollars? It'll just be me & DBF.

Thank you in advance :)

I just left my poolview preferred room and loved it. We did it mainly for convenience and it worked. We could hear the pool noise inthe afternoon but we were still able to nap. My only regret was that i didn't request lower floor, I hate waiting for elevators and they did didn't seem to be air conditioned.
