Just my daughter and I are going. She's 6. We have a standard room.

I have 2 questions. We will be paying off our package very close to the 45 day mark. Can you do the online check-in prior to paying off the package? (I believe you can start that process at 60 days)

Second - I know her legs will be tired at the end of these Disney Days, I'd love to be a little bit close to the food court, and a little bit close to the buses. Is that something that can be accomodated with a standard room?

TIA!

I can't really answer your first question but if you have to wait until you pay off your package, checking in at the 45 day mark won't make any difference to your room assignment.....they assign rooms about 7 days out.

Yes, you can get a std room that is close-ish to the bus and food court. I would recommend that you get a stroller for a 6yo. You can either rent at the parks or buy a cheap umbrella type before you arrive. I can tell you that when my DD was 6 we tried to do the parks without a stroller. Before noon on our first day she was absolutely miserable and wanted to go home. We figured out that she was tired, rented a stroller and then she was having the time of her life. Plus, it was really nice to not have to carry around our backpack.

What should I request if I want to be as close to the food court as possible? I only have standard room. We will be driving our own vehicle so we don't mind being near transportation. Also, is there elevators if your on the highest level or is it outside steps?

We checked out today and were in 60's. Room 5157 for reference. We were definitely the closest building, distance wise.

I'm pretty sure that 5157 is a preferred room.... But you can't get much closer than that to the food court.

Hi staying at pop for the first time in 14 days! I was wondering what is the earliest you can get a bus to magic kingdom if park opens at 9am. Do buses start around 630?

Yup, that's when they start. A MK bus should be there sometime shortly after 6:30.

Are the washer/driers in POP quarters only or do they take credit/debit cards like at PORFQ?

I'll be waking up at POP one month from today!! So exciting! But...just realized it's during Pop Warner week. Should I be concerned?

Pop is home this year to the Pop Warner Mighty Mites, which I believe is age 7-8 ish. We are going the same week, and specifically booked into Pop because in my opinion, a bunch of younger kids is infinitely better than a bunch of rowdy teenagers! And, because they're quite young, they're likely to still have some decent chaperoning, I'd bet. Hopefully it will be fine!

Thanks for the info. We will make sure to have some cash handy when we decide to do a little laundry.

I usually take a roll or two of quarters (or fill a few mini M&M tubes with them) on every trip. Quarters always come in handy since even though most vending machines do take $1 bills now, they can be quite fussy about which dollar bills they want to accept. :rotfl: I believe there are change machines in the laundry room, so it's not critical that you have quarters, but it might be easier if you do.

11 days and I'll be checking in. So excited! We requested ground, 50's section. We'll have 2 scooters and 2 strollers.

We were just at Pop for our honeymoon Oct. 19-28...heading there again in May, but haven't nailed down the dates. Wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else :)

:cool1:Our magic bands arrived today!!
It's becoming so real and I feel I am in crunch time now too. ;)

Sitting at pop food court having breakfast right now!!!!! So far we have really liked it here!! We are in a 70s standard room and we are really close to busses and food court. The food court is the busiest out of all the resorts I have stayed at but it's ok if you are prepared. Last night after wishes the bus stop was seriously so ling but they had it so organized and brought those super long busses and we only waited like 15 minutes max!!! I thought it would be at least an hour! Everyone has been great here! Would stay again!!!
