With that view I am wondering if there going to be reservations needed ala the Space 220 Lounge.Granted they’ve taken some liberties with computer generated castle image, but I’ll take a seat at the bar right about there.

Agree. And noisy for nearby guest rooms & at times possibly unavailable to Tower guests.I noticed they said "Members and guests staying at the Island Tower addition will enjoy exclusive access to four tropical terrace gardens. ".
When they say "exclusive access", I hope they mean it.
Otherwise it is going to be way overcrowded during the fireworks.
.
Don’t they lock up and make you tap in at night after a certain hour? That’s how the hotel side operates aside from Hawaii which is locked 24/7.Last spring I was surprised that the security features to enter PVB Longhouses weren't activated.
I think they do lock after a certain hour. That’s how they were in January 2022 when we were last thereDon’t they lock up and make you tap in at night after a certain hour? That’s how the hotel side operates aside from Hawaii which is locked 24/7.
Never encountered it at all. Moorea Lake View & then Tokelau....2 rooms. The young'uns were out after midnite often. But why restrict access only when late? Kinda silly to think it isn't necessary all day IF someone thinks it's needed at allDon’t they lock up and make you tap in at night after a certain hour? I’m not aware of any mainstream hotels that completely shut down access to the entire building like that all day long tbh. Considering how often guests come and go during pool days etc it just seems terribly impractical and annoying. CL I can understand because they need to restrict access to the lounge. But why restrict access only when late? Kinda silly to think it isn't necessary all day IF someone thinks it's needed at all
During my July wdw stay I emailed my TA and her check Dec, Jan and Feb and none were available,Quick question - I'm guessing the answer is no, but has anyone been able to book the new tower dvc rooms using the bounceback discount? Thanks
If you are going to try and change what you currently have booked, you can call and ask to see if it's available now. Thanks - I'm looking for next July. I have a BB booked 2 nights CBR, 11 nights YC. Looking to change to either 4 or 5 at the Poly tower and remainder at YC. I might have to book rack rate and hope either an AP or BB becomes available. If not I guess I'll have to bite the bullet!
We are heading back to Disney in Dec 2025 after a long absence, and are planning to rent points for a studio at the Polynesian. It has long been on my bucket list to stay here. I am beyond excited. We are hoping to get one of the existing studios, not the tower expansion. Does anyone have an opinion on what the opening of the tower is going to do for demand for the current DVC rooms? We plan to book right at 11 months, but are looking at the week before Christmas week, and I know that can be busy.
My guess is it will be a separate booking category. The fitness center situation at the Poly (lack thereof!) has always been an issue for me. Do we think non-DVC poly guests will be able to use the new gym at the Island Tower? And some more blurbs about the new “Cove Pool.”
The tower addition will include a new fitness center and pool area. Offering both aquatic fun and a relaxing escape, the new Cove Pool has a courtyard with a sandy beach area, whirlpool spa and magnificent views of Seven Seas Lagoon. Little ones can discover Moana’s Voyage—a new splash area with a figure of Moana and her iconic outrigger canoe, plus fun water features.
