Can you pick both? I would prefer a room with a patio or balcony.
If you wanted a patio or balcony, you would be better off calling and putting in a request for 1st or 3rd floor.

Selecting both patio and balcony from MDE would probably result in a room assigner completely disregarding your selections since they contradict each other.

I am getting so excited--in 55 days we check in for our first Poly stay! Everything is really starting to come together: ADRs and FPs made, stroller rented, oasis patios booked, surprise cupcakes ordered, Hawaiian themed outfits for our arrival day purchased, surprise souvenirs purchased for the girls. I am just getting so excited and wanted to share with people who would "get" it!:yay:
I get it! We check in in 21 days. I stayed here as a child, my parents took me in 1973. Never thought I would be able to bring my family here. We got our magic bands this week and are ready to go.:moped:

I always love catching up on this thread and reading about how excited everyone is to stay at the Poly. We will be there in 37 days. I had our TA call in our room requests and celebration this week (we will be celebrating my DH's 40th birthday). We have a standard view room booked. I requested a King room in Rarotonga (I realized after looking at the room maps that I don't even need to request 1st or 3rd floor anymore because there are no King beds on the 2nd floor or Rarotonga). This will be our 5th stay at the Poly - it was supposed to be a one time special stay to celebrate DH's 35th, but then we got hooked on Deluxe and have stayed here every year since.

Sounds like you have everything in line for a great trip! The days will go fast and you will be arriving at the Poly before you know it! Have a great time:banana::banana:.

Halloween is my favourite time to go, especially MNSSHP.

I agree, the Halloween party is a lot of fun :goodvibes.

Just a FYI....we were in Rarontonga and according to the room maps our room was shown as a king, but it was really 2 queens, so I'm not sure how accurate the room maps are.

Checked out this morning. This was my second stay. I loved it even more then my first stay (if that's even possible). Last night, we couldn't tear ourselves away from the place to go to Epcot.
We will definitely be back next year!

Hi all! I'm staying for one night on 10/14. Interested in the oasis patio rental since it is a resort day. I rented points from an owner. Am I able to call and reserve the space (assuming there is availability) or do I need the owner to call?

Oh, we get it!!!! :jumping1:
Time to pull out this guy...:dancer:

We are debating using ME instead of car rental for our next Poly trip.

If arriving MCO a bit prior to 9am, how long SHOULD Magical Express be to the Poly?

Thanks folks!

Yes, it seems they have updated the website, but they maybe aren't in the room inventory yet (there doesn't seem to be any availability for pool view rooms for any dates). We are booked for a time when the resort is fully booked (was already fully booked before the new room category was added to the website). Would also like to update our reservation, but not sure how that would work. I suspect if we called the CM would just tell us there's no availability.

Let us know how your phone call goes!

I just checked this morning and bookable rooms for the pool/marina rooms are now available. I just upgraded my standard room for 4/2-4/10/18 to pool/marina. The cost of the upgrade was about a 10% increase in price.

FYI, there were are no standard rooms available for those dates, but there are pool/marina, so it appears Disney may have been holding inventory back in contemplation of this change.

I'm very excited to have a better chance at my 3rd floor Samoa. I feel an approximately 10% surcharge to move up to a more desired room is worth it, especially compared to the huge jump in price there is to upgrade to a Lagoon or Theme Park view.

Good luck to everyone also wanting to upgrade. I'd love to know if anyone else has luck upgrading :)

You can call and book anything. You just cannot change the reservation for the room. Cabana is like an ADR -- your problem.

Standard room rate was a little over $700/night Easter week, and the Pool/Marina view is $767, so a difference of about $60/night. Lagoon view is $926/night, and Theme Park $1,028.

Of course I would have rather kept my standard room rate and then won the "Samoa lottery", but for me personally the upcharge is worth it. Lagoon view is $926/night, and Theme Park $1,028, so the $60 upcharge for pool/marina is in line with what I expected. My gut feeling is pool/marina will always be the 1st category to sell out at this price point

My daughters (11 & 12 yo) use the pool every day for a couple hours, and them being able to run right out the patio door to the pools is priceless.

You may want to check with you TA again today. Yesterday the rates were not available, but this morning they were.

Good Luck!!!

Thanks! I don't have a TA, just spoke with guest services at Disney. For now the 2017 dates (through December) still show as unavailable on the website, but the 2018 dates are now available for pool/marina views - even if standard is sold out.

I suppose I could call again, but honestly I'm tired of thinking about it. I will get my monorail view and I will make myself love it! ;)

Congrats on being able to upgrade! According to what Farro posted yesterday they aren't using the new room category for bookings made for the rest of 2017, so we still get to play "room request roulette" LOL but for future bookings we will definitely be trying to book a pool view!

I just checked our dates in December just in case they were holding back inventory for those dates too. But there is no availability, so it looks like you were given accurate info yesterday. We'll just have to hope for pixie dust for those pool-view rooms we've requested!
