Could one assume then, with all criteria met, that this room would have met your online check-in requests?

Not sure what you mean. Whether you do online check in or not has no affect on whether you will have your room requests met or not.

No, that's not true. Resort pools are for guests of that resort only. Maybe one of the Water Parks?

You'd prob be better off keeping your res. at GF if you want the kids to be able to swim together. Pool hopping is not allowed. Save Poly for another trip.

I would avoid online check-in only because you may have a better chance of getting your room request telling someone what you want face to face. Could get an upgrade too, but don't hold your breath.

I don't think they assign rooms until the arrival day. I do the online check in for convenience, then call the front desk that morning to request my room

Actually all rooms are assigned 2-3 days prior to your arrival.

You mean early on the day of? Perfect! We'll be heading back from the beach!

Yep! Last year we were part of the test and I received a text while at work (evening flight that day). It killed me knowing we could have been in the room.

I am a DVC owners (so paid in full), did online checkin with and estimated arrival time and cell phone for a text message.

I received all three of my requests. Moorea, closest to Hawaii side, and 3rd floor. In 10 years there was only one time I didn't get any of my requests. The resort was packed and they moved us the next day.

We are arriving at the Poly in the early morning hours of the 16th. I am planning to send an Amazon Pantry Prime box to the resort. Has anyone done this recently and how far in advance did you order. I was planning to pull the trigger to order on May 11th.

I sent myself a box to the Poly a few years ago, sent it a week before we were set to arrive so that it got there a few days before we did.

What is the best way to handle a room request at the Poly? Do you send it by fax or add your request to your reservation either online or by calling?

Going back to the pool restrooms - the East pool is closed while we're there in June, does anyone know if there are restrooms at the Lava Pool? If so are there showers? We always take the latest flight home on our last day & spend it at the pool, but if there's no restroom there to change in, I might have to re-think the last day. I know there's a restroom by Captain Cook's in the hallway, but I don't really want to be dragging my stuff in there from the pool.

Yes there are newly renovated rest rooms. They look beautiful!

I agree. I liked it (used at CSR) because I could look up my room before even arriving at the resort to see if I liked my room assignment.

1 - no earlier than 10 days prior to arrival
2 - name on the reservation and arrival date must be printed on the outside of the box. I don't know if that is doable from Amazon

I spoke to the Poly front desk this morning regarding room assigments.....

1 - online check in has no bearing on room assignments
2 - requests for room assignments can be made starting at 10 days out
3 - room assignments are made by staff on the arrival day
4 - the "Bypass the Front Desk" program was confirmed and needs all the things listed in the above post to take place. You can still request a room/building by calling in 10 days (or less) ahead.
