Although I guess in fairness I should post a better weather pic too.
I can't speak to the smell, but that's still a beautiful view. Man, I miss that place.

We got 2nd floor Tokelau on our last trip with a view of the garden area. Likely to the left of your view from the looks of it. Still convenient for GCH access but a decent amount of foot traffic going to and from the parking lot.We had similar view on our 2019 trip. It was second floor on that side of building. That side is nice for the quick walk to GCH.

I'm also thinking that they feel pretty confident in having at least some of the Poly ready to go since they're taking the A-Frame rooms in the Contemporary out for refurb as well. You'd think they would not want to lose basically two MK-area resorts, so they must be fairly confident in having the Poly done - at least mostly.
I did notice that the resort-only side buildings had ALL the windows covered. The resort room buildings on the DVC side appeared to be in prep mode - in some cases you could see mattresses turned up on their sides or furniture not there or pushed to the center as if being prepped to be removed, but no coverings on those windows yet. Which makes me think they are focusing on the non-DVC side pretty heavy right now but still getting the others ready so that as soon as the non-DVC side is done they can transfer people to the other buildings and get them in.
I think I've talked myself into switching back. LOL. NOW to decide which view. LOL.
Lol, they were doing some of that mattress/furniture moving on the middle longhouses when we were there around New Years too. We joked that it seemed they'd move things around daily, but we couldn't really figure out what they were doing! Sometimes different room lights would be on, sometimes mattresses in hallways moved around... but what exactly they were doing was a mystery!

By Presidents' Week they had the longhouse entrances for the non-DVC side pretty well walled off. But yeah, I noticed different rooms would have lights left on. The first couple of nights I'd try to peer in but then realized they all still had the old decor in them and stopped trying so hard after that. The non-DVC side, the closest thing I saw to any chink in the hiding was the top corner of the sheeting on one of the doors was SLIGHTLY down. But even if I'd been brave enough to go and try to take a peek, it was well above my height.
I'm both surprised and impressed they have kept the design under wraps this long!!
Did you see the furniture that was recently spotted? I can't post a link, but it looked good to me!
So happy for you! We check into the Poly July 19th too from our YC split. I'm just hoping most of the rooms are done. I can deal with the monorail not being open but sure hope it is!Made the jump back! My heart was just at the Poly. Gotta be true to your heart!

Tikiman has it on his FB page. Gorgeous!
Do we think Ohana will reopen with the rest of the resort?
I will be shocked if it’s anything other than subtle inspiration, colors, playful art/accents.
