Yes. Strange hours through, starts at or around park opening. Just one boat, back and forth. Was mostly unused whenever we saw it last week.
Thank you! I was thinking on the way back home because for breakfast, heading to Cont. Might take that back to POL as well.
I’m going mid-Sept so we shall see if anything changes.

Is the water taxi running from POL to MK?
Yes, but I would recommend the Ferryboat to/from TTC. We had a later dinner at MK on Monday. We exited around 8:15. The monorails already had the closed chains. CM directed us to the Poly and GF boats. We waited for just a little and noticed that a Ferry was coming (even though the previous ferry had just left). We hopped over to the Ferry and it was quick and tons of space and a very short walk to the DVC side of Poly. During this entire time, I did not see a boat going to / from Poly. The ferry is more reliable. View from ferry:

Pool Report #4
Today, the day started rather cloudy. We decided to spend about an hour at the pool before going to Epcot. Headed to Lava pool at 10:15am. It doesn’t open until 11am. I thought I had seen that it opened at 9am.

We headed to the Oasis pool. Plenty of space today in the morning. Only about 10 groups and it was very quiet. So, my conclusion is that after dinner on really hot days, it will be challenging to maintain social distancing, but other “off” times, it’s peaceful and easy to maintain social distancing. I still have not made it to Lava! Hoping to make it there tomorrow afternoon.

Food Report:
Kona-We had dinner last night at Kona. They are busy. We were sat 30 minutes past reservation time. Half of the tables are blocked off, but still felt the tables were more close together than, for example, Skipper’s at MK. The food was delicious. I am still dreaming about the curry seafood soup. I may need to make a reservation just to get this to go. The poke bowls, wings and sushi also got high praise from the fam. My glass of rosé was also delicious.

Capt Cook’s - very good too. Distancing and mobile ordering working well, especially with the number of people ordering. Meatballs and superfood salad were both very good. Pic of the salad below:

Poly seems to be experiencing this issue more than other resorts, though. Why is that? Wilderness Lodge has Copper Creek and Boulder Ridge open and I'm not seeing complaints of full pools in that thread. Same with Riviera. Why the difference?
I would venture that they probably have similar crowding issues at peak times, i.e., after dinner, when parks are closed, and everyone is back at the resort. I would also venture that, same as Poly, off times will be much more quiet and easier to maintain distancing. The only way that they would not have an issue is if they have many more rooms that are not booked. I know that I could get studios, 1 BR and 2 BRs at the WLV for my dates, and it was really hard to get Poly, but I don’t know if they had more availability (could be that they only had a few rooms left, but still showed as available).

Thank you! When I looked at the map the TTC ferry looks closer (and I prefer the ferry over the monorail anyways).
But after further investigation, I can’t ride the water taxi coz I’m disabled and ride an ecv so that’s that lol 😂

So after all that....

They could limit access with pool reservations, timed wristbands (i.e., 90-minut limit). We were at a state park lodge a couple of weeks ago. They limited pool access by closing it down and running a cleaning program every two hours (took about five or ten minutes to wipe everything down inside the fence). So people who got there a couple of minutes before 1PM were first in line when the pool reopened at 1:10 and the folks who had been in the pool at 1PM would go to the back of the social distanced line. Worked like a charm; felt safe. Process repeated at 3PM, 5PM, etc. I'm sure there are other ways to do it. Disney is going to have to come up with something; these pools will be swarmed after MK closes if there are no restrictions when I'm there for Columbus Day weekend.

Argh...I really hope they don't do this. One of our pools did and we thought it was so ridiculous and such a waste of a day. When we go to the pool; we usually stay for at least half a day...having to pack everything up, leave, get back in line, stress about not being to the front of the line enough etc...
argh no thank you. We went once and haven't been back. It's just not worth it.

I say let ppl. go for as long as they want to be there and if you hit capacity, as ppl. leave allow others in.

I'd MUCH rather just do a reservation system (if something is actually needed) even if that meant we couldn't swim every day. To us that'd be MUCH better than evacuating the pool every 90 mins blah.

I think the only issue with the pool is after dinner. 9pm is too crowded. Only one pool open. MK has been closed for 2 hours. No night entertainment to pull guests away from pools. There isn’t even a bar that would pull adults away. Most restaurants are closing around that time too.

I would like to see them extend the Lava pool hours until 11pm. That would go a long way to alleviate the crowding.

Pool Report #5:
Today at 5pm, Lava was crowded, but Oasis was empty. We had a very relaxing time. Here is a pic:goodvibes:

I know the fitness centers are open- all of Florida gyms are open! My only concern was the fact that the Polynesian shares their center with the GF. My ds is crazy over making sure he gets his work out every day. For me- no. I’m on vacation!

While I didn't actually go inside during my Poly stay last week, I ran by it multiple times and the gym seemed open to me. I was/am under the impression that it is open to Poly guests as usual.
