What is photopass???

Let me see if I can explain briefly and clearly....probably not.

There are Disney photographers stationed at various picturesque locations thoughout the parks. When you see the first one you want to take your picture, they will give you a card, like a credit card. Once your pictures are taken, they "scan" them onto your card.

As you go thoughout the parks and see the photogs, have your picture made and they will just add it to your card. There is somewhere in the park where you can view the pics and purchase, or you can wait til you are home and upload them to the website, order what you like or order a CD with all of them.

I like photopass cause I am Mom and if we don't do photopass, Mom is never in the pictures because she is taking them!

Does this make sense?

There's a special going on right now $79 to buy the disk and you can have your pictures developed anywhere you like and as many copies as you like. We had a total of 68 photos. We found it worth it because as HeatherFeather mentioned "mom or dad" aren't in the picture otherwise. We got some great family shots. I wish they offered it with all the characters and more locations.

Is the special price of $79 offered to everyone or is this a limited promotion that requires a coupon, annual pass, etc.?

Two years ago when we went the CM gave us a different card back and we lost 8-10 photos, was very sad. The photopass people online did try to locate our pictures but they had no luck. So now we put the date on ours to make sure we get the same card back and make sure to get a new card each day we are there.

There is another thread on the DIS regarding PhotoPass locations which has a comprehensive list in the first or second post. Some of the locations have changed, obviously, with the recent construction in DCA, but many are the same. Let me see if I can dig that thread up from my subscribed threads.
