I want fresh flowers in my room. Lots of people to suck up to me, but in a nice way. I want a really cool pool. With two slides - a little one and a big one, and zero depth entry. I also want the pool to have a kiddie area/water park built into the same pool - little water jets, a stream to play in, etc. I want a place to eat at the resort that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, but has some little bonus that makes it special (special foods, a special view). I want an AWESOME hot tub - lots of jets - so everyone can have a jet on their back and feet at the same time! And some little plus by the hot tub - wild animals, a waterfall. I want fruity frozen beverages with alcohol served next to the hot tub or pool. I want a character meal - Tarzan perhaps (because Tarzan Rocks! - after all!). If not Tarzan, than at least something that appeals to boys - like pirates, Buzz, Woody, Stitch, Indiana Jones (but he's got to look like Harrison Ford. Hey, the guys get to see Ariel in her little bikini top...)
I want quick transportation to each park - something unique - not just another monorail or boat. Hovercraft or skyway, perhaps. Or maybe a resort that enters directly into a park. What about an MGM resort? The transportation could involve making you feel like you really have some sort of magic flying powers.
I want to feel like I am somewhere unique in all the world.
Hey, what about a Star Wars hotel?

WDW should build a true luxury hotel. It would be small, 300 rooms or less. All rooms would be at least a jr. suite, with about 25% of the rooms being a full 1, 2 or 3 BR suite. All rooms would be housed in a single building. At least one floor/wing would be designated adult only. All transportation would be by bus, and no sharing with other resorts. At all park bus stops there would be a paging system where guests could push a button and a bus would be available to return them to their resort within five minutes.
The overall theme would simply be a luxury resort with subtle hints of Disney, like the way the CR or GF handle "Disney" theming.
Access would be limited to those with room or dining reservations, walk-ups to the restaurants would not be permitted.
There would be two restaurants. Two full service, one moderate, a second high end with an enfirced dress code. There would be a concierge lounge on each floor and wing (I'm thinking that you could break this resort into four floors with two wings on each). TRUE concierge service would be provided, and coffee/tea/soda/bottled water and fresh fruit would be available 24 hours.
An over all resort dress code ie. coverups required over bathing suits when walking to/from your room to the pool), shoes required in all public areas, etc.
Fresh flowers would be in each room, as well as a minifridge and coffee maker. Of course robes and slippers would also be provided. Toiletries would be upgraded--Lord and Mayfair at the lowest. Housekeeping would be impeccable, and each room would have a selection of pillows. Rooms would be spacious and would include butler service. Linens would be Egyptian cotton and in pristine condition. Each room would have a CD and DVD player. A selection of CD's and DVD's would be available to borrow from the concierge.
The pool would have a pool concierge who would lead each guest to a chair, and the chairs would have little flags to call a waiter over. Towels would be large and plentiful.
The price tag--high. Will people be willing to pay it? If it's done right, I believe there are enough people looking for that type of experience who can afford it, and are willing to pay for it to keep a small luxury hotel full.
My guess is that the jr. suites would have to start at $700 per night--off season. Would I pay for this? Yes, for a special occaision.
