so i appologize in advance if this has been asked a few hundred times! Im headed to Disney World for the 1st time in April. We will be part of a group of 10 (my grandparents, my parents, my wife and I, sister and her fiance and 2kids). We were looking into doing the memory maker package and had a question. It is a bit pricey, but i get it, its an expensive amazing trip that should be documented with some proffesional pictures. Is it possible for one person to buy the picture package and use it for all 10 people? We talked about splitting the cost 4 ways. Is that frowned upon or something totally ok with Disney? And also, does all the ride photos show up on the memory maker package? We just dont want to drop $650 for all 4 groups on pictures. Hope to hear your responses and experience with it. Thanks everone

Yes, it is valid for your whole group (that's the idea) so all 10 of your group can use it.

Make sure you're all linked correctly on MDE (others can probably advise on how this works- we only ever have two people on one booking using our MM!)

And yes, all ride photos are included
Along with any pre meal photos at some character meals

Disney knows this happens, and its OK. You need to make sure that you "friend" everyone in your group. The person that everyone is friends with.. pick a leader... is the person that will purchase the memory maker entitlement and place it onto their MyDisneyExperience account. Everyone will be able to view the photos... but ONLY the account with the entitlement can download the photos to a computer.

There are 3 ways of handling this. 1) Give the username and password to this account to everyone who wants to download photos. This depends on trust, and not my first choice, even with family. 2) Have the leader download all the photos after the trip and send the photos via email, CD, etc to everyone... a bit clunky and time consuming in my opinion. or 3) (the best way) create an extra MDE account, using a different email address...this is very important, it has to be different from anyone elses email addresses that are being used for other mydisneyexpereince accounts.... use a gmail, or something...and have the memory entitlement placed onto that account. Have everyone friend that account, and then give that password and username to the entire group. Then the memory maker is separate from everyone's plans and reservations, etc. PM me if you want more detailed instructions.

If trust isn't an issue then go with option 1... if it is an issue then use option 3.

Remember, EVERYONE who uses their magic band on a ride (with an on ride photo), or with a photopass photographer, must be linked friends with whatever account has the memory maker on it.

Good solution, boufa. The only drawback is that it's tougher to download from an extra account "on the go".

On our last family trip, it was my daughter, my husband, and I. I was the owner of the MM package. As the day went on, I would check my PhotoPass account, and if there were pics I wanted to share with my daughter for social media or anything else, I could just download them on my phone and text them to her, or use them myself. This would be very difficult if you had to keep switching accounts to accomplish it.

If immediacy is not an issue for your group, it is a good solution!

First question would be who in the group has a MDE account already?
Is there just 1 with all others on the family list?
Or does each family have an account? Several accounts?

In my family only me has one so if makes it all very easy
Sure I have to do all the planning but that's ok

You're the picture-perfect group (pun intended) for being Memory Maker customers! Divided 4 ways, I promise it will be the best $37.50 you spend at Disney! Great advice from all above. Tell everyone to stop wherever they see photographers and you'll get tons of great photos for one MM purchase.

If each family member has their own MDE account (or one for each family sub-unit, etc) it is important to note that they will be able to SEE all the photos in their own MDE login, but will not be able to download the photos from there if they are not the one account who paid for MM.

My sis-in-law didn't realize this and spent a lot of time after the trip in her own account adding the Disney stickers and borders that MM offers, but when it came time to download, she was prompted to pay. She had to ask grandpa (the MM purchaser) to download for her, but while all the original photos were there, none of the edits were. You have to be logged in with the purchaser's ID when you do the edits!

So we are a group of 4 families going down. I have purchased the Memory Maker and the adults in the other families are on my Friends and Families list and can "view and purchase your photopass photos". My question is about their children. On my list it says they "cannot be invited to plan and share". I assume this is because they are children. If one of the kids use their magicband for a photopass or ride photo will it be included in my Memory Maker?

The "owner" of the MM needs to send an invite to every member of the friends list of the owner in the other families.
They may need to use the app do to this. When I last participated in a share it couldn't be done on the website, only the app.

So, using me as an example
The person who bought the MM sent me an invite to their account
I accepted and made sure it was set to view and purchase photos, no to the option to view all plans (forget the exact wording)
Then the owner of the MM account sent invites to each of the family members on my MDE account
I accepted those invites and any and all of our MB worked for photos

One word of advice to OP: tell everyone to watch for PhotoPass photographers everywhere and to ask about magic shots whenever the PhotoPass photographer is working without a tripod. Disney is becoming more and more creative! DH and I got some really cute stills and videos in places such as the exit from BTMRR (Woody truly SWING dancing Jessie) and the bridge from Asia to the Finding Nemo show in AK (Everest in the background and snow over all, with video of the bridge shaking and the Yeti growling). If you don't ask, you may not get them!

Ok thanks! I will check with everyone to make sure they selected the right choice for their group.

What did you find out on this? I'm running into this, too. I have the Memory Maker, and the adults say "can view and purchase" but the kids say they "cannot be invited to plan and share." So if the kids go on a ride or get a photo taken without their adult around, will their pictures be included?

I'm still not clear on how this will work. I'm thinking that anyone associated with the account of my "friend" will show up but I'm not sure. I will be there in a week and a half!!!! I'll post how things turned out.

The short answer is, yes. If someone in your group, that is listed in your friends and family, scans their band at the end of a ride, or with a photopass photographer, etc, then the picture will show up in your account. My kids became rather fond of being the official band scanners. :)
