Disney's Master Chef Series

I was "wonder"ing what the Disney's Master Chef Series was. Does anybody have info and is it worth doing it. How often? Times? Reservations? Tips? Suggestions?

We did one of these on our last 4 day cruise. It was part of the sea day programming.

In essence it was a "live" cooking show in Studio Sea. At the one we attended the chef made a yummy bread pudding and showed some tricks on how to make a fast caramel sauce (start with condensed milk and heat it in the can in a pan of boiling water). She talked about her training, experience, etc. Everyone had a taste of the bread pudding (which is my DH's nearly absolute fav dessert in the world) and also the wine steward had selected a dessert wine for tasting.

When we were on the Wonder at the beginning of this month, they replaced the menus in all the dining rooms with the Master Chef menus on the last night. The items are from various other Disney restaurants at the parks and from the sister ship Magic. No need for reservations, extra tips, etc. It's part of your cruise package.

Our's was in the early afternoon and lasted about an hour or hour and a half I think.

Ok, possibly I'm confused but I thought the master chef series was the menu served in the dining room on the last night, not an activity.

The culinary series in Studio Sea goes under the name of Disney's Art of Entertaining. On our 7-night Eastern Caribbean Disney Magic cruise, there were demonstrations of cooking, drink making, and table decoration.

The dinner menu with selections from various Walt Disney World chefs is named Master Chef Series. On our 7-night Eastern Caribbean Disney Magic cruise, all three main restaurants had the Master Chef Series menu on Sunday, the formal night.
