I have corrected a restaurant bill that was missing something (and therefore under-charged me) and I have done it more than once.

Right but we cant fix the app and neither can anyone at Disneyland

Same, but that's because I think it was an accident vs a programming error and I don't expect it to take a long time to fix. If I wasn't Y, I wouldn't want to miss out on mobile ordering because the App is giving me the discount. And who even knows for sure, maybe it's like that on purpose to encourage mobile ordering.

I miss that Inspire discount so much. That's the one thing that made it worth it.

QS is not discounted at all at WDW except for a few places at Disney Springs and the discount does not show up for mobile orders I have tried

I didnt even know you could mobile order merch. I just checked and it seems as though if you're at the store you can check out with the app.

It doesnt show any discount for me yet because it wont let me add anything as im not at the store, but im going to assume it may pop up. You just gave me an unethical temptation I didnt need

I actually really was. And mobile purchase is amazing! If you haven’t tried it yet you should. It lets you skip the checkout line! Feels illegal, but isn’t!

For some reason I am getting drawn into this, even though I don't care about it either way. I think everyone has their own guidelines for morals and ethics. What works for someone else might not work for me, but it's not my place to push my own ethics on to someone else.

What's intriguing me is that it sounds like the merchants ask if you have DVC. In the California resorts, they ask, "Do you have any discounts?" I know that my Inspire Key has the highest discount so I offer my Key to be scanned. If I didn't have the Key, I would say that I have DVC and the credit card and ask them which they want to see. I've never been asked if I had DVC, so it's kind of blowing my mind that it's a normal question in WDW.

I’m also not sure I care about who gets discounts or not (though I am surprised DVC/DVD doesn’t care tbh). But what’s strange is I usually have the exact opposite experience when it comes to CMs and discounts. I’m in Disneyland right now and usually come a few times a month and almost always get asked if I have a Magic Key when buying anything. In WDW, it was almost always the generic “do you have any discounts?”

Can you explain how you do it? I always see the signs but have never tried it because I think I'll mess it up. I also like to get a bag for my stuff. Although, after I get my first bag, all my subsequent purchases go in the same bag. If you mobile purchase a mug, can you still get it wrapped up? I just can't wrap my mind around this process

I have only purchased pins for my kids and a sweatshirt, so I’m not sure about the wrapping. Basically what I recall is that you use MDE to scan your items and pay (you have to be in the store), you bag them, and you walk out! It is crazy fast! I feel like they have bags specifically for mobile checkouts?

Im really surprised they dont care either. I did see they were guarding those magic key insulated cooler bags like a hawk tho lol

From what I recall, yes. There are signs in the store about mobile checkout, just follow what they say on them!

I can’t recall discount amount, and also last time I had an AP discount too, so that might confuse my historical purchase info!

Edited: I was able to find my last purchase. They gave me a 20% DVC discount, but I was also entitled to a 20% AP discount (not sure why one was applied over the other, especially the one I am not qualified for).

When you open the app, it is under Merchandise Checkout, then you select your store. You have to be there to use it.

Whoa I didnt even think about that, if I didnt have a bag how is that going to work or bought an ornament. I suppose we can just ask for one at the front. I feel like security would think I was stealing they have that self checkout at Amazon stores too and it felt so weird

I just wanted to thank the OP for the use of their thread. This thread has kept me busy and helped prevent me from adding on Poly direct today. 3: different times today I was about to hit submit from the add on tool. I kept deciding to come back here to see if there was any reason to not pull the trigger and I got drawn into this thread. My bank account is safe for another day.

Last summer when we were at DL they were checking receipts and asking if we wanted bags.
