Disney's Key to the Kingdom Tour ?

My daughters (24 and 20) and I are going to Orlando in late June. We've been to Disney mulitple times and will be back between Christmas and New Year's so we were thinking in June we'd do the Keys to the Kingdom tour.

Has anyone done this? Do you ride any rides or is it all behind the scenes? Is it worth the extra $79? Any other tours you'd recommend?

My DH and I did it 3 years ago. I highly recommend it. We rode Pirates, Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion and got the scoop on all of those rides. The tour included lunch at Columbia Harbor House and a visit down below in the utilidors (no cameras there). Have fun. You learn a lot of little details about WDW.

We loved the KTTK tour we took several years ago in 2009. Be prepared it is a LOT of walking, but it was fantastic. Lots of behind the scenes info and trips backstage and down to the utilidors. We also rode Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion. I think we were supposed to ride Pirates but it was down during our tour. We did the early tour that started before park opening, and it was wonderful having that time on Main Street with hardly anyone else there.

12 different tours over the years, several multiple times. All excellent. Keys is a good one also, did it several times. Don't forget the discounts...Disney Visa, AP, and DVC, all 15%.

DH and I did Keys to the Kingdom tour in October 2014 and loved it. I do think it depends on the tour guide. Ours was Debbie and she was funny, informative and approachable. We've been going to Disney World since the early 80s and have read a lot about the inner workings and we still learned a lot. It's really nice that you wear headphones so you can hear every word the tour guide says. We would do it again.
