disneys Hawaiian resort...

awhile back I heard of a resort to be built in Hawaii by Disney. haven't heard anything about it for a long while. Dropped a thread on another DIS board and someone suggested I try here, as they think it is going to be a DVC resort. We do not belong to DVC, so wanted to see if anyone knew if a non member will be able to stay? Wanted to go to Hawaii for our 15th anniversary in 2012 and thought a Disney themed stay would be the "butter cream" icing on the cake !!

It's suppose to be a split between DVC and Hotel. So you can always stay on the hotel side.

Yes, it will be similar to the Boardwalk Villas...not in decor or style, just in the way it is run. A portion of the property will be DVC units and a portion will be standard hotel rooms/suites. I don't know if work has begun yet, but I can't wait to see the development progress!
