Disney's Group Reservations? Any one used them?

I recently called Disney to start planning a family vacation for about 35-40 people. I told Grand Gatherings that we need 11 to 12 rooms and they sent me to Group Reservations. Anyone ever go through this department to book you Disney vacation? Any information would be helpful. Thanks!

I've never used Group Reservations, but surely SOMEONE on this board has! Hopefully they will see this post as I "bump" it to the top of the page.

I did a Magical Gathering for 16 in August. We went through the MG people for resort reservations, since we only had to have 6 rooms, but we did have to go through them for ps's. They were always very helpful, made suggestions as to when the best times would be to seat a large group, etc.

We used Magical Gatherings on our last trip and they were great. I did get them today and they gave me a discount on the room, but no real perks for anything else. Advance purchase prices tickets the same, etc. Has anyone found that you just booked it seperately without them? Thanks again for your responses.

I just used Group Reservations for a PS at Ohana for 17 people for Easter Week. We got it, no problem.
