Thank you so much for posting these! My wife and I are bringing our boys (will be 4 and 1 when we travel in November) to DW for their first time and we’re now considering staying the entirety of our trip at the GF. Currently have a split stay (with BC) booked but we’re liking the idea of being able to arrive, unpack and spend all nine nights in one place. Your pictures have made that decision pretty easy for us now so thanks again! Hope you had an amazing stay!

With the ages of your children, you will have a more relaxing trip staying at the GF for the entirety. Not only is the GF newly remodeled (where BC is in need), you will miss the room balcony, kids water splash play area, the onsite restaurants, the monorail access, and the sights and sounds looking across the lagoon at MK. I would save the BC for when your children are older and know how to swim.

The one regret I had from my GF/YC split stay 40th birthday trip was not staying the entire time at GF. YC wasn't terrible, don't get me wrong, but I fell in love with the GF and it just was not the same. And this trip was before the renovations, mind. I can't wait to stay in these new rooms when everything is complete--we are thinking of a land and sea trip next year and may do GF before a cruise if we don't go to Europe instead. If you do end up doing a split stay, do GF last.

I love GF, but if you are going to Epcot a lot of days, being able to walk into the Park is SUCH a joy in the morning. We often do split stays to be able to walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios a few days, then walk (or monorail) to MK a few days. Might still be worth it to you to split stay, maybe 3-4 nights at BC, then move. I do GF/MK last ;) to finish on the fancy stuff!
