So my 2 month window is finally here to book FP+. (staying inside the parks) But I can not afford to purchase the tickets yet. In the past, I usually have purchased the tickets a few weeks prior to the trip at AAA. So now I am worried because I will not be able to book any FP+ until a week before we leave. Will there be anything available? I am planning on using RD but I am worried how not having the FP+ options might affect our plans.
It is just me traveling with my son, who has Autism. Pre planning is so crucial.
Hopefully, I am worrying over nothing. Has anyone else had much luck finding FP for popular rides when having to wait until the week before or the week of your trip?
So in thinking about this, I started to wonder if part of the new version of FP+ and the magic bands are just about the $$$ and have nothing to do with providing a service that is about the customers experience. Adding a feature that requires you purchasing your tickets two months in advance is ultimately about guaranteeing you spend your money. Only offering the two month window to those staying in the parks is an incentive for you to spend more money and stay at Disney. I could go on with the possible monetary benefits FP+ and MB provides to Disney but others have already listed them on other threads. I know ultimately Disney is a business but it just feels like things are becoming more and more corporate and less about the customer and Disney magic.
I still love DW and know that we will ultimately enjoy are selves. But thinking about how much money a trip to DW costs and feeling that with each year it gets more difficult to get the most out of that vacation, due to changes Disney makes, is frustrating.
