Registration is now open for Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings Bridal Showcase, to be held February 9, 2013 from 10am to 3pm at the Contemporary Resort Convention Center.

For $35 you get...

• Opportunity to meet one-on-one with a Disney's Fairy Tale Wedding Sales Consultant

• Special appearance by celebrity wedding planner David Tutera
• Parking at Disney's Contemporary Resort

Although it's not going to be as big as the first one, which also had wedding gowns to try on and a separate lunch with David Tutera, the bridal showcase is still a good opportunity to get answers to your wedding-planning questions directly from the source, try food and cake, and see samples of the various photo products offered by Disney Event Photography.

Oh, also, they're offering discounted rooms at the following resorts Feb. 7-10.

Disney's Contemporary Resort: Garden Wing - $231.00 +tax per night
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter: Standard - $138.00 +tax per night

You will get a link for booking after you complete your registration for the showcase.

The rate at the Contemporary is the same as the current room-only discount available to the general public for January-March, although if you plan to stay any days besides Friday and Saturday, the general public discount is actually cheaper.

The rate at POFQ is about $40/night cheaper than the public discount.

Oh! I'd love to go...and meet David Tutera! But it will have to stay a dream, we're not planning on making our planning session until June or July.

Aside from wanting to meet David, is there any reason to go if you're already married? Carrie- do you know if David is even accessible during these events to take a pic with?

Last time he did do a bit of flesh-pressing with attendees, but there was a whole separate luncheon devoted to his appearance. Not sure how tight a leash they'll keep him on this time, but with the time so limited, access to him may also be limited.

I registered and I'm very excited! Since I'm aiming for either Feb or April 2014, this falls in perfectly with the planning process. Hoping to get a site visit in the day before. We'll see. They may be too busy. Thank you, Carrie, for the sage advice as always!!
