First time BLT stay coming up next month, bit of an odd q but when you transfer from the EP monorail to the Resort monorail are there multiple ramps? or re-clearing of security?

there’s a little shortcut connecting to the epcot platform when you get off the resort line that isn’t immediately obvious but if you follow the signs it will lead you around to it, you don’t have to go down and back up. security is only cleared the one time too, at the CR station.

This is so good to know. I’ve never heard of that but have heard of complaints on how long it takes from the monorails resorts to Epcot using the monorails. Does anyone know if a picture or a little map or detailed instructions of this short cut? Thank you so much!
When you get off at the TTC, look for signs directing you to the EPCOT line. A sign will point you to go down a ramp to the right, instead of left towards the main TTC.
Follow this left almost deserted path behind the Monorail station and it will lead you back to the EPCOT line without having to deal with the crowds from the TTC,

Nobody ever goes that way either. And tbh having done the transfer from GF, which adds many more minutes to the commute given it's further back on the resort line than CR, it does not take a very long time to get to Epcot via monorail at all even with transferring. When I was at the Poly tower last month, I walked over to the TTC to get the Epcot monorail direct, aiming to be on the first one of the day so I could be front of the pack for Cosmic Rewind rope drop. When I walked over it was still early enough that the line wasn't running yet (just the resort and express to MK), and there was exactly 1 family there besides me, already waiting there for the Epcot platform to open. They were CR guests. We ended up yapping and riding together lol. But barring a random stoppage for traffic ahead in the station, it's just as efficient as the buses.
It's been awhile since I've stayed at the Contemporary - just got invited to a "Girls Trip" (VIP Tour) and booked a TPV room in the Tower. Does anyone know what rooms are "King" rooms? It's just going to be ME and I'd prefer one bed if possible.
No first hand reports here on DIS but then the noise is only supported be during the hours of 2 PM - 5 PM, and the Contempo Cafe is open during the work that is scheduled through mid October.
Interesting. I wondered if they are finally going to start refurbing the 4th floor to update it or make it make either the lobby or the rooms?? Thanks.
The guest rooms were last redone in 2021 so they are not due for an update at this point. Even if many of us hate the Incredibles theming they selected.
There have been no rumors, suggestions or reports of any Grand Concourse (4th floor) updates, and the lobby was updated to redesign for the new check-in experience a while back.

The lobby looks so nice that I guess it’s wishful thinking that they one day plan to tackle the 4th floor. It seems like the 4th floor never got the overhaul the rest of the hotel did during the 50th.
